Topic: Famous people in your family

Does anyone here have a famous relative in their family? My mom's distant cousin was Carroll Shelby who invented the Shelby Mustang, in fact about a year back I saw on Yahoo that a 1962 blue prototype Shelby Mustang sold at an auction for $13.8 million breaking a record.

possibly, but I was never told about them,,,lol I seem to remember an ancestor who was Mayor of some small town as far as those amongst the living,,, I have a brother who is an actor/screenwriter/blogger/comedian,, he makes a living at it but I would not say he is famous and I went to school with actress Melina Karikaredes and model Angela Everhardt,,,

I have a cousin who is an actor and I've seen him on the tv show "Taxi" a couple of times. He's far from famous.

Two actors in my family from back in the old days of TV. George Grizzard, Fess Parker. And one writer. He wrote a few books if I remember right. But the best I remember about him was when he wrote humor for the Atlanta Journal. His name was Lewis Grizzard.

I almost became related to Clyde Barrow of the gangster duo Bonnie and Clyde (there's a Barrow on mom's side of the family) but thankfully we dodged the bullet on that one . I know for a fact that on my mother's mother's side of the family I can become, if I or we wanted to, a member of the Daughter's of the Republic of Texas and Daughter's of the American Revolutionary War.

Hmm, when you have a Mormon background, where at least 5 lines have been traced back to Adam&Eve, you find you are related to everybody. Currently, my brother-in-law is a retired Senator whose nephew starred as Charles Manson in 'Helter Skelter' and looks just like him. Kinda creepy, really :-)

My great aunt was married to crown prince Amha selassie, son of Emperor Haileselassie I. He reigned for about 6 months and was the last monarch of Ethiopia.

I too believe we all come from Adam and Eve. So Lois you're going to write a book, what's it going to be about?
