I like O'Reilly and I watch him, but if you have that number of woman coming forward and in his case they get paid off... in my book... that is assuming guilt.

I would have fought it tooth and nail just to protect my reputation.

Hope this doesn't turn into the same saga as Bill Cosby...look what happened to that guy... couldn't get a gig at the airport Holiday Inn now.

sex.... brings the strongest to their knees ;)

The purpose is to open a discussion about the allegations against OReilly

That's rather difficult when you don't post what the allegations actually are.

the consequences

Consequences of what?
No list of allegations, only that allegations exist.
So the consequences of the perception of allegations?
That's not really "guilty until proven innocent."
That's more "guilty based on potential hearsay until proven innocent."

the trend of consequences before evidence

More of the trend of businesses afraid of even potential scandal.
Possibly due to the power of media overinfluence.

Seems more like a trend of believing consumers to be illinformed morons that tend to knee jerk react, so mass exodus from anything that might even potentially cause a knee jerk reaction.
Trend of disdain for customers.

From the first post in this thread:
Over the weekend, the New York Times broke their investigation into sexual harassment claims against the conservative commentator"

It has gotten worse for O'Reilly:

Eli Lilly and Co. pulls ads from Bill O'Reilly's show; Angie's List stays on

I know. Those in the public eye can really be ruined with words and accusations, because of the concern for how consumers will react to them.

I don't know, there's something about the name "Bill" and sexual predators. Bill O'Reilly, Bill Cosby. Co-incidence? I think not. huh
