Kansas City Jimmy John's worker calmly hands over cash with gun to his head

It happened just after 9:00 p.m., Wednesday.

The man wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt entered the restaurant, placed an order, then pulled a gun instead of a wallet out of his pocket and pointed it at the cashier.

The cashier handed over the money and then tried to give the robber the whole cash register tray, but he pushed it back.

Kansas City police say thanks to the public’s tips they have identified and arrested the man accused of pulling out a gun while ordering a sandwich at a Jimmy John’s.

On Thursday police released clear surveillance video of the armed robbery.

The reason must be that robbers don't have money is because
they're STUPID.

I'm glad noone was hurt. I wonder if the cashier will work there much longer.

I can't believe he stayed so calm.
Looks like the gun is breached locked open.
Wouldn't have fired anyway.

Maybe the cashier knew that bit didn't want to take a chance on being wrong

Maybe he was robbing the store to get money for his children?.. or to help out his family?

Nah.... just robbing the store because he has this stolen gun and its easier then working for a living... nothing more then that

Wrong logic. That kind of thinking would get innocent people killed. I carry as well, I also investigate these king of crimes on a daily basis. Inside a store to many innocent people can get hit, plus you have a robber who is probably a junkie with nothing to lose who will kill the clerk without hesitation. Even heavily trained law enforcement special actions teams rarely take the shot.

It's best to keep everyone calm, give them the money, let the insurance company pay out for the lost cash and let law enforcement catch the people.
