Steve Harvey says Trump is 'keeping his word'

Steve Harvey said President Donald Trump is a man of his word... at least as far as he's concerned.

“As far as doing what he promised me, he’s doing it,” Harvey told TMZ cameras on Wednesday.

Harvey said, as he discussed with Trump back in January, he has been doing work with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

“You know, I’m working with HUD. I’m going to get some housing for underprivileged people. We’re gonna set up some centers around the country,” he said.

The “Family Feud” host said he has been working with Ben Carson.

He added, “I met with HUD. It’s going really well. God willing it will work out.”

But when asked if he was happy with what Trump has done thus far, he was quick to chime in: “I didn’t say that.” Harvey also clarified that he didn’t say he was unhappy.

Why do we really care what Steve Harvey or any other entertainer thinks about politics.?

Because he can say " and of the 100 people surveyed!!!"... we should take his political views seriously.

Or we should even hear his political views?

Thing is with surveys, probably the same as the uk is they ask the people they want to get the relevant answer!

He didn't mention his political views, just a little support for the President(which we have seen little of). Like everyone, he has a right to express his view of things.

I'm for the president.. 100 %. but I do not believe that entertainers ( regardless of I agree with them or not) should get a soap box for stating their political views, likes or dislikes upon other people.

Too many times they have used that popularity for their own agenda..as was evident pre and post election. that I feel is not right.

I believe that law abiding people have a right to carry a gun ( I don't carry a gun), but I don't believe in this because Charleston Hesston said I should

My point being is if it was Steve Harvey the bus driver, nobody would care what he said.

I do not believe people 'care' about what others say so much as they may care to not feel alone in whatever experience, feeling, or belief they hold themselves,,

People also are open sometimes to learning and growing and walking in the shoes of others

in that sense, I believe people (at the very least) are more open to CONSIDERING the words of someone they respect,, whether it is the bus driver, a parent or a celebrity

Well, following that logic, I hope you also oppose rich people speaking out, business leaders speaking out, and so on.

As for bus drivers(and the like) being ignored, I think you are mistaken. Remember not long ago, when a random guy who Sarah Palin's people (at least claimed) to pick out of a crowd, turned into a politically appointed spokesperson for all "joe six packs"?

No I don't .. Professor.. I have no problem when business leaders take to the podium to talk about... business... in the U.S. or global platform.. why?... because they are experts in THAT subject. If they have made themselves rich in business, more power to them.

Ya see.. I will listen to them about Business.. but frankly I could care less who they like as politician

Now, If I want to know what is going on in Hollywood, then I certainly would care what Steve Harvey was saying about that subject

How's that logic?

Hey, it's better than the media.whoa

you'd be surprised, even people who head global industries
with factories located in different parts of the world
that employ 8 or 9 thousand people. seem to have the time to
be on the web for hours and hours giving advice on anything and everything under the sun to anyone who'll listen to them...
i often wonder how they manage that load..

no reason to wonder how some people do it.. and other can't. I mean someone has to do it.. right?.. Corps don't run themselves. Factories don't build themselves either.

 well said! the boards give a much better glimpse of what people really think, especially if you read them consistently [not necessarily frequently]

Otherwise for straight news I think it's best to go to a service like NPR or Reuters, BBC JMHO

I hear a lot of frustration with how the media reports the news on the boards, actually.

As far as celebrities speaking out. I don't have a problem with it, but it does not effect my political opinion. I think celebrities can do a lot of good as spokespersons for various causes.

I agree w/ Harvey, tho', like him or not Trump is trying for the most part to stick as close to the agenda that got him elected as he can.
