I just came across this kind of relationship as opposed to the soul mate concept. I would like to ask friends here if they have experienced this and how real it can truly be. thank you all in advance for your opinions... wishing you all your twin flames and matches

Hi sceptical, this is the first time I have heard of this, looked it up and it sounds like something to take notice of, I met someone about a year ago, and that feeling was instant, the only problem was she was married to a really nice guy, I could just sense the feelings were mutual,and so could she,I have taken it no further,in fact the next time they were here,mutual friends of ours made sure we didn't meet,I don't know if this helps, but certainly keep an open mind.

I am writing a book on it too, and intent to get it published. So little is known yet about this, while it is happening more often these days.
Be careful what and where you read about it though, Sceptical, there's a lot of negativity in the TF community, lot of ppl that think they're with their TF and arent, then get negative and whingy about it.

Yes, doing this book in between the BDSM novels Only recently started with it. The book on TFs is going to be in Dutch. I already contacted a publisher about it, one that does spiritual and self-help books only, one of the largest in that area in the Netherlands.

As much I know/ have studied about it then twinflames are not the same as soulmates. Twinflames are two halves of one soul placed in two different bodies. Soulmates are two souls sharing the same spirituality.

And I agree with Crystal, be careful where and how you get an information. Many sources tend to interpret spirituality and religion in their own way, depending how they would like to see it. Soulmates, twinflames... have described as something really romantic, like if you find one in physical world...all your problems will be solved and you will live happily ever after. But..you can recognize your soulmate or twinflame (if you have one) only if you can feel spiritual connection and that's not easy thing to do. Most of us don't even achieve to get to know our own inner-selves. How when we can recognize the other's?

And don't be surprised if your soulmate is actually a woman. Nobody says it's necessarily someone of opposite gender.

I don't mean to throw cold water on the romance of all of this kind of thing, but you did ask about "how real it can be."

The concepts of things like soul mates and twin flames and the like CAN be just romantic metaphors, or they can be religious/magic ideals, or they can be like folk tales we tell ourselves as encouragement. In my direct experience, I have found that they can be a nice way to express one's love and determination for someone, but that when too much belief is poured into the idea that there are real external forces which guide us, people tend to get lost.

The absolute worst emotional relationships I've been through, were the ones where the other person was so entranced by an ideal like this, that whenever I or the luck of existence failed to make some small piece of the magic expectation come through, the person either lashed out at me directly, or deserted me as though I were some sort of "false god" or sad trick that was played on them.

I enjoy the ideas for the way they can encourage people to examine and understand their own visualization of their lives, but past that I am wary of them. Ideals are tricky that way.

Could be difficult to explain how I felt, it wasn't as if I instantly fell in love,but within a minute of joining the company she was in,we were talking and joking as if we were the oldest friends in the world,and I saw in her eyes and reactions towards me,that we both wanted to hold each other,and almost did,there was actually a tear in her eye when we both stopped this from happening,now I don't know if that was TFs, but it is certainly something that has stuck with me ever since, I have met many Women since,and nothing come close,it's just inside you, and hopefully you will experience those same feelings, and are in a position to let it happen without any Barriers to hold you back,good luck sceptical

Anything can be as real as you can make yourself believe it to be.

Lots of people have alien abduction stories that are absolutely real to them.
Or loch ness monster experiences. Or ghost stories.

You know, if you stand up straight, look straight ahead, both eyes open, then close one eye, your nose magically appears in your vision.
If you want to believe that your eyes hold at bay that sneaky universal aura energy until you close one eye and it can come in and immediately construct your nose so you can see it, and then start following the spiritual nose goddess, and come up with all sorts of rules to explain the phenomenon based on how it makes you feel, you can do that.

That might help explain why babies freak out when you play "got your nose!" with them. They can't see their nose, you say you stole it, you stole their nose goddess energy!

Anything is as real as you want to believe it to be, or you allow others to convince you it is.

Associations and relativity...

There are over seven and a half BILLION people on this planet right now.

With so many individuals it is possible to meet someone that has similar associations and values as you. More than you might think.

When we do and get to know them personally we consider them our soulmates. Because they share the same values and morals and desires. We identify with each other easily. Our Soulmates.

We also meet people that have qualities within them that we feel we are missing. The two people compliment each other to create a sense of completeness. Our Twin Flames.

What many fail to understand is that there are also individuals that are the opposite of the soulmate or twin flame. Its all in how you look at your interaction with others.

Then there are many that are neither positive or negative matches but somewhere in between. Its all relative to your mindset and expectations.

When YOU label someone as your soulmate or twin flame you are setting your expectations upon another. Even if both set the same labels for each other it is still an expectation that requires maintenance and adjustment.

We strive to find people that have the qualities we think are important to our expectations of soulmate or twin flame. Most have some qualities that 'fit' but few have all qualities that fit. Likewise, we don't perfectly fit all the expectations of another.

We each set our limits to un-qualification. We tend to ignore those unqualified traits in favor of the ones we want. As time progresses, it gets harder to ignore those negative parts until the union breaks.

Chances are 7.5 Billion:1 of success. However, as we drop our requirements and expectations our chances improve drastically. Alternatively, as we limit our choice pool the ratio goes down but the availability of a perfect match also decreases. In a major city it may be 3 million:1 in a neighborhood perhaps 200:1. But, as the available choices dwindle our expectations and requirements must also dwindle.

Now my brain hurts, love doesn't need to be complicated. Why make it so?
