Hi Integ, it was only moving 6 mph, so it's picked up a bit. It down graded to a category 2 so that is really good news. There will be less storm surge with that.

My home's fate in Key Largo is still unknown. My niece's Dad stayed behind in a hurricane safe home, and he went to check but the street was flooded with about two feet of water. Our trailers are around 3 or 4 feet off the ground. His small travel trailer had a tree fall on it, so is totally destroyed.

We're prepared as well as we can be, just waiting for the worst of it to hit tonight. Right now it's really windy and raining like crazy.

No, they are regular trees, some of the smaller ones. A transformer just blew about a block over. I was out on the screened in patio and saw it explode. We still have power, but I imagine when it gets closer and the winds get stronger, it will go out.

Burnt pancakes are yucky I toss them if I end up burning them.

You saw the flash from the transformer? What color was it?

It was white and reddish, my sister said it could have been a transformer. It was behind the trees up pretty high. I heard a big pop and it lit up and sparked.
