All things considered, it seems like the smarter thing to do.

From what I remember, from all the news stories when this was more newsworthy, they go about it thoughtfully.
I mean it's not like they're going out on the street corner and hoping some guy has $80 for a nights rent and their dope fix.
They aren't picking up some random stranger from a bar.
They aren't heading off to a frat party and getting wasted.
They aren't idealizing and banging their teacher/professor.
They aren't sitting around for 30 years dreaming of prince charming in shiny armor pulling up on a white horse before starting a forum thread whining about some social stigma on virgins or why virgins are better than everybody because they haven't had sex.
They aren't spontaneously porking in the back of their dad's chevy in the high school parking lot not thinking about protection.
They aren't under the delusion of their first crush believing love solves all problems and magically protects them from STD's and pregnancy and being dumped after "giving it up."

From the news stories I've read on this subject the women are controlling most aspects of the encounter.
They're demanding STD tests, they're preparing ahead of time with contraceptives, the winning bidder is vetted and known and chosen based on more than just highest bid. They are controlling the location, sometimes having friends or security chaperones following them or in another room. They're communicating with the winning bidder to discuss expectations and what's allowed.

Based on the alternatives a lot of people choose for "losing" their virginity, selling it doesn't seem all that bad.


I would much rather someone gave me hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars to have sex with me rather than the situation around me losing my virginity.

So, yes, I would definitely have sold my virginity for an exorbitant price.
Most especially if it was completely confidential.

One thing I wish I knew was how to report it on my taxes.
I mean does it count as prostitution? So if I report it, then is it illegal gains? Or does it count as income, or one time windfall like gameshow prizes or the lottery, and am I going to have to pay like 50% to the IRS and state because it pushes me up through all sorts of brackets?
That would suck. "Hi, this is the IRS. Our records indicate you were paid 1 million for a guy to have sex with you. Now we get to fck you for 350-500k."

If by "would you have done it" you mean "would you pay these women" then I'd say no.
Based on the amounts from the news stories I read (hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars) I would have just gone to a sugar baby website and found a local girl and set her up as an ongoing love slave mistress, available at my beck and call. Something ongoing, rather than a one time thing.

Seems the better value. But I'm not exorbitantly rich where hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars mean nothing.
