The opposite of a cougar is called a manther.
So would not wougar make more sense for females?

The opposite of a cougar is called a manther.

Says who?
I think I heard that term on Saturday Night Live on a skit with Alec Baldwin. But was he playing a gay guy? Or am I conflating canteenboy?

I always thought the opposite of a cougar was called a typical male or bachelor or dirty old man.

So would not wougar make more sense for females?

Not to me. Cougrrrrl would make more sense if cougar couldn't be used anymore. Like if cougars were sued by animal rights activists. Kinda like wrestling was sued by the WWF for use of the initials.
Or femanther, or hippopotachick, or vagmonster.
Red bearded clamtiger maybe?

Wougar sounds too much like booger, connotations are all wrong.
Also kinda sounds like a cartoon horn. Isn't that the sound a cartoon character made when a curvy chick walked by? Jaw drops to floor, tongue rolls out, heart leaps from chest, and you hear "awougar! Awougar!"
That's what I'd be thinking about if I heard someone call themselves a wougar. So maybe that would work. But I'd still partly think of boogers.

Ooooh, what about the LGBTQ community?
They've already got bear daddy's. Sperm whales would be too on the nose.
There could be dragons.
Fagiraffes?
Chupaqueerbras?
Muffducks?
Maybe rave monsters can be called Koala's, being all clingy and high all the time?

I know! I thought that too.
Both Cougar and Manther titles assume predatory behaviour. But a lot of younger people look for more mature partners and are not the 'victims'.

Maybe Manther, dirty old man, perv etc is karma for calling younger women with many sexual partners a sl#t?
