Our president has been accused of racism , again, for calling it like it is. There are sh#t hole country's in our world.. And to sugar coat your description of a nation and how they treat their citizens is wrong. When discussing the security of America and the people we let come here, we need to be honest. No matter whose feelings get hurt. If the truth hurts than you should probally take in to consideration that your doing something wrong and should change the way your doing things. So why is it racist to state your opinion about a place that is in such bad shape that even their own people don't want to be there. But it's ok for a powerful politition to make a racist remark about " 5 white guys " discussing DACA. Nancy pelosi is always putting her foot In her mouth. But she always gets away with it. Trump does not mince words. He calls it like he sees it. We need more people like him to fulfill our political posts.

every criticism of anything any president said could be claimed to be 'calling it like it is." so long as there is anyone who agrees with what they are saying.

I mean, he could be said to have a 'crappy' marriage. But if Hilary were to make a point of publicly announcing such a thing, I dont think Trump supporters would shrug it off as her 'calling it like it is."

Opinions can be racist. People being white or black is a matter of census record. Thinks being 'crappy' or 'shitholes' is a totally subjective call and can also be based in racist ideology.

I believe most everyone 'calls it like they see it', and that has never stopped people from criticizing them for their words or opinions.

People calling him racist are also 'calling it like it is', from their perspective. IF we allow that to be the reason to avoid discussion or criticism, than we pretty much end all social and political discussion or debate.

you can't say much these days without being called a racist. PC is totally out of control. You can't say what you see anymore.

On a few occasions when the topic was black on black crime, I pointed out that the overwhelming amount of people being murdered each year in Chicago are black and that it is a proven fact that they are being murdered by blacks. ( there is a web page that shows the faces of the victims and the killers... really sad to look at)

Am I wrong?.

But I get called a racist... which I am not. What I also am not is blind, and there is nothing wrong with my perspective of color.

But when you call it the way you see it the PC people call you a racist....

So be it, call me what you please. But I will always call it the way I see it.

I would much rather be called something I am not then to give up my dignity and buckle to what someone else thinks I should be.

Trump calls it the way he sees it so he will always be labeled.. always

I'd like to know why there is no up roar about the shows "Black-ish" and "Orange is the New Black"¿

I've never watched either, but just seemed inappropriate considering all the racial tensions... j/s

I get called racist too.

I call it the way I see it.

Thats probably the same for anyone being called a racist, whether its true or not, that they call it how they see it.

I believe most call it 'as they see it' but it never stopped social commentary about how people call things.

I think you have to watch it to understand.

Blackish is about a black family and written and produced by black folks, telling it from the perspective of black people. There have always been shows about white families, written and produced by black folks, telling it from a perspective of white people.

So Blackish adds to the precedent by including a different perspective of someone that is not white.

The writing does not demean anyone and so the content of the show is what matters instead of the title.

With Orange is the new black, it refers to black as a fashion choice, not a race.

Just addressing the title:

"anti-pc doesn't equal racism."

Correct. However, it is also factual to say "anti pc does not equal statements of fact."

And as well, "Anti-pc does not equal displaying a sense of personal honor."

And as well, "anti pc does not equal anti racism."

And "anti pc doesn't equal being conservative."

There are millions of things that "anti pc" doesn't equal, and none them mean that the person being defended has done anything more than vent thoughtlessly.

That's pretty much my point.. There have more than several shows of black families without using a title that points it out. I could but I won't..

Green knows what I'm saying...

Oh, and again, I haven't watched them because its mindless "entertainment" ...

You know I gave it some thought that when I saw that 9/11 was suppose to destroy the economy and didn't but later on the destruction of the economy came from within in the form of the real estate debacle of 2008..

Now I see where the destruction of our government was suppose to come from Russian meddling, but isn't but it too seems to be coming from within.. so doesn't it seem odd that all these problems that we seem to be blaming on everone else..is actually coming from inside our own government..:spock

So maybe it isn't someone else's fault. maybe.it's just that our government is full of idiots..spock

I guess it's ok for the Clinton foundation to steal 100's of millions of dollars for the rebuilding of Haiti, but it's not ok to call Haiti what it really is, a shithole country...

as unnecessary hubris, as most of the tv we watch is made by white people from the perspective of white people

television is BY DEFAULT already 'white entertainment' that is kind of the point, non white people can easily locate someplace that has their perspective and experiences

Id challenge your average person(without googling it) To name five shows 'about black people' compared to the same challenge about shows 'about white people' or from a white persons perspective
Friends
Seinfeld
Modern Family
The Big Bang Theory
Grey's anatomy
Breaking Bad
... should I really go on?

who cares if the title points it out? One has to SEARCH for a while to find it amongst mainstream regardless of the 'several' shows, so the title helps find it.

why is it racist to state your opinion about a place that is in such bad shape that even their own people don't want to be there

Because it ultimately detracts from the point of what is being said.

Why are democrats focused on importing those unskilled laborers that tend to vote democrat and have no wish to assimilate, rather than focusing on recruiting new citizens with marketable skills, wealth, and a desire to assimilate or are already similar to American culture.

Can't have that question asked, so better to steer it towards attacking the person via ad hominem.

kind of like asking why are 'republicans' bent on making america for sell to the highest bidder?

may as well take down that statue in New York, or at least change it to 'only give us your wealthy or highly skilled'

That he even said it has yet to be verified, and is heresay really. But IF he said it in the context claimed (about "AFrican nations") , it clearly had racist undertones. AFrica has more than 50 countries, which range in climate and lifestyle and environment.

I looked up racial undertones, do to my dismay. whoa

( UNDERTONES )? so far as I could come up with as far as racist is 10. Noone is labeling anyone a racist, but there's no denying that these films contain potentially offensive themes. And what are the Republicans today? Why of course its all their fault it was they that completely screwed everything up.whoa

ok ...

back to what I actually posted

1.That he even said it has yet to be verified, and is heresay really.

2.But IF he said it in the context claimed (about "AFrican nations") , it clearly had racist undertones. AFrica has more than 50 countries, which range in climate and lifestyle and environment.

undertone: a quality (as of emotion) underlying the surface of an utterance or action

racist: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

May as well change the words on the Statue of Liberty so they read " we don't care who comes in , gangsters, thrives, terrorists , as long as you vote for the democrats. Because we care. Only in a liberal s+*thole world.
