If you had to name four things (skills and/or experience) you would like to see in a POTUS what would they be?

I would like:

1. Political experience of some sort. I wouldnt want a Principal who had never taught or a Finance Manager who had never done finance. It is important to me that someone have previous experience in a field before jumping to the head of it.

2.Civil experience of some sort. I would like a POTUS who has demonstrated interest and care for other citizens through past actions and activities.

3. Diplomacy skills. Understanding that a POTUS is not a dictator and must work with others to get anything done. It is important to me they have the skills for working with others diplomatically.

4.Education in World economies and World politics. We deal with so many other countries that put a priority on education and their leaders are very well spoken and educated. Its not a good look if our POTUS appears to be one of the least educated in the room.

This wouldn't be a Trump bashing thread... would it?

The POUS has many skills needed already!

1. A clear and driving dedication to represent the will of the people of this nation no matter the pressure from interest groups or major influences.

2. A strict discipline to put the health and welfare of this nation's citizens above foreign interests.

3. Demonstrates hands-on leadership with an interest in the outcome over self-promotion.

4. Promotes advancements in science and technology to benefit not only our citizens but all the people of the world.

oh..O.K.. so were talking about the other 44.

So what is your take on Franklin Pierce, THE 14TH President of the United States. Our would you rather talk about Trump.

Or Washington, Lincoln, Taylor, Garfield, Nixon, Clinton, Roosevelts.......

I am asking about the POSITION of POTUS, regardless of who is in it.

In that case.

Uphold the constitution to the fullest extent in its current text

Take care of this country and its legal citizens before and above all others

Stop all entry into this country until they can do it legally

Deport anyone not here legally
