I dated someone for more than 4 years and for much of that time we were basically living together in two different houses......we either spent our time after work at my house or her house. When she barely sold her house before it went into foreclosure I told her to just move into my house. She said she wouldn't "move" into my house because without being married even though we were basically living together.slaphead

We broke up shortly thereafter when she called me and said she was moving back to Florida "Since she didn't see a reason to stay here anymore".....it was like she was giving me an ultimatum of "either marry me or I'm leaving". She should have known not to give me an ultimatum.....I've lived alone ever since.tongue2

I love living alone... I work when I want... do what I want... no b.s. Recently my brother moved 45 min away from me... driving me crazy.

i don't mind if girlfriends come over and get me drunk, every once in a while.

I loved being married (or partnered, before I was married)..
I am a widow now.

I never had any problem being able to do things I wanted to do...actually since we had most of the same interests..we did most thing together..
And the few things we didn't were necer a problem.

I have done the alone thing before, years ago..and don't like it any better now than I did back then.

Everybody is different..those who like being alone shouldn't be disresepctful to those of us who wish we weren't alone.

I think its about how comfortable you are with yourself in the aloness. I am getting there. The fact that I do what and when with no regard to another is awesome.

Noticed something in your profile and wanted to ask (I've been to Alaska).
Is it true that those mosquitos up there are actually the official State Bird?

The skeeters are big. They are relentless this year. The worst actually is the orb spiders when its hot. Those things get big and are juicy kills. lol

Would love to have a regular house guest or travel companion but not a house mate!

At this point on my life I would probably prefer to live apart together since we all have proclivities that may not be conducive to cohabitating successfully.
