I have no problem with a woman POTUS, as long as she can run the US like Trump! bigsmile

Trump put forth a lot of plans and policies which the corrupt politicians were unwilling or afraid to deal with, such as illegal immigration, with emphasis on illegal. He is not against immigrants. He is against illegals. He captured the pulse of the nation. No institutional politician ever came close to dealing with this issue. Many find him obnoxious but many see his brashness as refreshingly candid, a great difference in the sly and practiced demeanor of the usual politician. These were some of the reasons he captured the nation's attention.

I believe that all politicians which we have now are corrupt. Based on the culture of today's politics, they could not have been elected any other way unless they lied and deceived their way into power. There is no room for an honest politician, even if they existed. The way that the system is set up (catering to lobbyists to win favors or astronomical sums of money for elections), only the corrupt can win. That's why people are fed up and it is time to clean House (of Representatives) and beyond, including Senators.

As for your your qualifications for politicians, they all have all that. It just may not be readily apparent. They could not win elections otherwise. So that sentiment is redundant.

not exactly. there is nothing redundant in the qualifications nor does 'every politician' have them. what every politician has is a pulse on the mindset of their base and what will drive them to give their support. which in an under educated and overly emotional base, makes the election like a popularity contest for prom king/queen than it does a reflection of who may best lead and represent the country at large (despite demographic group).

1.Trump does not express an understanding of the constitution(IMHO)
2.He also does not express an ability to be diplomatic, i think his bully pulpit attracted many who no longer support or believe in diplomacy (IMHO)

3. Many politicians, mostly in beginning ranks have no history or experience with the life of the middle or lower socioeconimic classes and have not tried to UNTIL they entered politics, which forces them to gain some experience. I dont believe the first experience should be as POTUS, and certainly dont believe Trump has any clue or concern about any type of lifestyle than the wealthy one.

4.I see his constant name calling and vulgarity as anything but a show of integrity, decency, or intelligence. Its literally like watching the most popular fifth grader tell people why they should be student council president and how they promise better cafeteria food.

5. He has NO civic service history IN SPITE of being born into the kind of great resources which he could have used to do some good for others.

6. He is not the most consistent, although I will give that few people are in the current climate.

7. He doesnt seem to work well with people at all given the revolving door of people that he keeps bringing in and then letting go

8. and he has not worked in politics, or any area that would give him knowledge of the constitutional structure, boundaries, or duties within.

When a president says of Mexicans that he 'guesses' some of them are decent, that is more than just him being against 'illegals'. And every President tackles immigration, though they dont always sensationalize it as their prime agenda.

The corrupt Democrats are doing their best to make a Trump victory, inevitable in 2020. Hey maybe that corrupt old waster, Hillary will even be trotted-out again to run against Trump if she's not in jail or dead by then. What Happened?!

Time will tell. still the old double standard about powerful women being ******* and powerful men being saviors ...

I dont think she would run again, they are all getting to be old fogies. I'm hoping for younger blood in the game next time. Someone with political experience and some history of civic engagement. There is too much fabricated hatred towards Clinton, but the youth vote may give us someone more presidential and experienced to choose from come 2020. I can only hope.

'Misogyny and sexism'had nothing to do with Clinton's historic loss. I know many people, including men & women, that would love to see a woman President; just not THAT WOMAN [HRC] who is a confirmed & documented narcisstic, pathological, psychotic,Liar on a grand scale. She is a horrible person & a horrible candidate.
AND SHE WON'T GO AWAY!
"Signs Hillary Clinton Is Having A Mental Breakdown"

I respectfully disagree. I know many that would support a woman that had no history and a man that had no history. But many are more willing to forgive and vote for the man with a history than a woman. Many are more willing to believe the negative accusations against powerful women, than powerful men. That is why the two narratives were so different regarding Trumps alleged lies and scandals(Fake news) and Hilarys alleged lies and scandals (proof of how awful and corrupt she is)

Do you have any kind words to say about POTUS? Your list of how intolerable he is, is quite comprehensive. A person who is fair and unbiased would find some redeeming qualities.

He is an excellent opportunist and he probably is doing the best he knows how, we are a product of our upbringing and experiences. He is probably materially very generous with the people he likes. There. Thats three things.

opposition to success or opposition to failure and bigotry ,,, everyone's perspective is their reality ...

Ohh good give me an example of bigotry? And trump has gotten more done then most presidents have ever done... how are you affected in a negative way?

I don't know. saying maybe only 'some' of the mexicans that come here are decent.

saying all muslim should be shut down from entering the US.

saying haitian immigrants all had aids.

retweeting that 80 percent of whites are murdered by blacks.

,,, just to start,

and to measure how much a president has gotten done, is impossible, with no quantifiable standard to use.

Im affected negatively because the whole world now sees me as citizen to a country led by an unintelligent, bigoted leader, and potentially as supporting such a person. Im affected negatively because other citizens will have their ability to carry on life with dignity and respect obstructed by the leadership example of this man. Im affected negatively because more divisive stereotyping as me as both a female and minority will be perpetuated and promoted throughout the culture due to the examples, words, and behaviors of this man

just for starters

but like I said, perspective is reality. And what affects some negatively may still affect others positively. It is human nature that the latter will view that as 'success'.

Is it not what he said, or is it out of context? two different things.

His press statement did call for 'complete shutdown of muslims' until they could 'figure out whats going on' , in context is still bigoted

where is the 'lie'?

Muslims don’t even take in other Muslims lol. Do you know what Muslims have done to countries? That’s not bigoted that’s protecting Americans that’s his most important job.

and that explains your perception. My perception is different. Assuming merely being muslim makes one a threat is as bigoted as assuming being a white male makes one perverted or a mass shooter, or assuming being a black male makes one a violent criminal or animal, or assuming being a seperatist makes one a violent anarchist. Policy set in bigoted assumptions such as these, to me, is not 'success'.

some folks should actually do some reading and learn the truth rather than
just accepting looneyleftyliberal talking points.....

the 'ferguson' effect has had alot of negative effects and it was alllll

that chart does not prove a 'ferguson' affect, or dispute what was being discussed.

Well aren’t Muslims bigoted if they don’t take in other Muslims? Are you for allowing bigoted people to come to America? Hmmm interesting to hear your response

There is no muslim country that does not allow ANY muslim in, for one.

and yes, I for allowing bigoted people to come to America, If bigots can run the country, why not be able to enter one. As long as their bigotry does not turn to violence their freedoms are just as important as any non bigots.

With all his opposition in office right now, he will be fortunate to make it through just his four years.

However, anything is possible.

Opposition to success? Doesn’t that bother you?

Nothing Trump Does suprises me!

And, I don't Worry about Washington's decisions for the US.
When Obama was in office 8 yrs., Many disliked everything he did or didn't do.

A smooth dishonest businessman is no better than a smooth dishonest person in any other occupation, and smooth is a very generous adjective to use with Trump.

there was noone 'smoother' and more dishonest than obummer! and there have
been a few dishonest ones in the highest office.

Lol what! Europe and America are the only ones taking In millions of refugees because Muslim countries refuse to take them in, Syria, somelia, not one is taking in refugees. saudi arabia Can’t take in Muslim refugees? Lebanon!? What about Hindu countries? They all have refused refugees

not one has refused to take in ANY TYPE OF MUSLIM.

And why is our bar so low that if anyone else does it, it makes it okay or justifiable for us to do?

one's perception is one's reality. The smooth ones were Obama, Clinton, Raegan and Kennedy, if by smooth we are referring to their Presidential behavior/confidence/charm.

Dishonesty is a can of worms I dont discuss because people are so confused about what politicians have power over and how much.

But Obama does not have a history of bankruptcy, lawsuits, or sexual harassment allegations ... so the 'dishonest' part of it, I would say, is still Trump's arena.
