I keep getting messages from men from overseas. How can i specify my maximum distance that I want to receive messages from?

mail> limit who can send you mail> choose filters> update

Also, your profile is there to list your preferences so anyone viewing it can read them. Just list them.
Granted a lot of people don't read profiles but if it is listed and they contact you anyway, they obviously didn't respect you enough to read your profile and you can automatically dismiss them.

Plus, along with the mail preferences it will whittle down the contacts outside your preferences.

Everytime someone views your profile or sends you a message their location, age and gender are viewable without a click-thru.
At least in my browser on my computer it is, not sure about the app view?
