What do you believe to be the best gaming system out there?

Mine, personally the xbox 360. I know some would say because of some problems with it, it's not worth it but I'm a huge first person shooter fan so.. the 360 is perfect for me! Plus it's not as much as the ps3. So the price is a bit more reasonable.

I love the DS as well and the psp for portable.

Yours?

360 all the way....I just can't take the wii or ps3 seriously yet, and I've been a fan of the xbox since the original halo.

PS2 IMO is still better than the XBox and the XBox 360 but when income tax time gets here, the PS3 is coming home to daddy!bigsmile drinker

I love the Wii, I couldn't care less about graphics that PS3 or XBox 360 could provide, The Wii offers a gaming experience the other systems just don't... plus it's cheaper.

PC only for me

However, in the console seen, portable consoles and the Wii would be the winners for me.

I don't think I'll ever care for the Wii. Maybe ps3 when I get one. haha I'm planning to by one, but probably not for awhile.

I had a ps2 for awhile, but it really didn't impress me all that much. I loved half-life(first one) on it! That game is the best.

I'v really never understood why people choose PC over other systems.. isn't it more difficult to play on pc then with a controller?

My computer is way to slow for any games =S

PC man, stick with a desktop. I built mine for like 1000 bucks over a year ago and there still isnt a game I can't play. And mine is FAR from top of the line, and I have a sweet set up.

The main reason I prefer the PC over consoles because it is basically all-in-one. I also like modding my games by making and installing custom content.

hm I guess I'v just never had the desire to play on a PC. The one time I tried it was just choppy and using the arrow keys to move your person around sucked while you were being shot at.

You need to get up to date on games then, mouse aiming is MUCH better. Arrow keys is old school like Doom and Doom2.

you have a wider variety of games with the PC than you do with console games and as ZStar said, aiming with the mouse is alot easier than with a controller.with a controller, you can only mouse so fast but with a mouse, you can aim as fast as your hand can move! bigsmile

Best Overall would be a kick@$$ PC (why? emulators will emulate most console systems. MMORPG's, FPS control so much better with a keyboard and mouse than thumbsticks, USB controllers = XBox, XBox360, PS2 Controller USB HUB = PS2, PS1, NES, SNES, only PS3 and Wii is hard to emulate).

Console = XBox360; although I love my Wii to death, if I honestly had to say which system has the largest library of fun games to play, and internet connectivity, I would give it to the XBox360.

Handheld = DS. Lots of PSP fans, but my PSP hasn't been touched since I got my DS. DS has WiFi play, PSP only has ad-hoc. DS has no loading, some PSP games have short loading, but a majority have long loading. Battery life on DS is better. Graphics on PSP are better. If I want a portable system, I want DS. If I want a portable system that plays like a home system I want a PSP. Another bad thing about the DS is how stupid you may look in public blowing into the microphone.

Favorite = Wii. Even though I say the XBox 360 is the better console, I would personally choose the Wii because I feel it suits my needs. I'm trying not to game that heavily, and be able to have fun with my friends who "aren't gamers." The Wii fits this category perfectly, with enough games to be fun for the gamer in us all. Super Mario Galaxy is a great example, your average Joe will be able to get 60 stars, and complete the game, while more hardcore gamers like myself will be able to get all 240 stars.

I am quite content with my PS2, Gamecube, and DS haha. The gamecube will be upgraded to a Wii eventually and I really doubt I'll get a PS3 anytime soon. I've never been a fan of Halo and therefore really have had no reason to be a fan of xbox haha.
