I always was proud of this guy since he was a kid being recruited from high school in my hometown. he has never stopped giving back

I wish more who 'made it' to his level also 'gave back' at his level ...

He is a stand up guy and a leader. You never hear anything negative about him. There are many professional athletes who give back thru deeds, service or organizations but he is a big name. The black community has every reason to be proud of LJ as a role model, hopefully more will step up to the plate.

The link provided isn't really clear on what exactly Lebron James has "gave back" other than maybe his name and a couple quotes?

Other than that, might as well post a link to the Clinton Foundation and wonder how Hillary had so much time to also be a senator or Bill had to be president because they "gave back" so much at their level.

Just based on the link provided in the OP I don't have any idea what Lebron James has "gave back."

All I see is an announcement of a foundation working with public (government funded) schools and a bunch of "community" people to someday maybe open up a new (possibly government funded) school.

And nearby are big ads to "buy now" some kind of band, and there's a "donate" button too.

I don't know. If I was going to start a post about how wonderful Lebron James was and how much he "gave back," I would probably link to something that showed where he personally gave something back and his own direct personal efforts. That's just me.

And there are people like Mark Zuckerberg who donated $100 million to the Newark public school system.

I didnt grow up in the town that Zuckerberg did, Im sure he also gives to plenty of charities with his wealth and good for him.

I am amazed by James because he came up EXTREMELY poor in Akron and got out only to continue coming BACK TO AKRON to uplift others.

meh, who cares about Trump? this is about a kid coming from poverty and not forgetting his roots too much to try to make a difference at home.
