Interesting comment... Why are you here if you feel that way? And if you stuck around the forums you would find your statement to be wrong! The options are limited. I have yet to find an actual dating site. You either get hook-up sites, social sites, or marriage hunter sites but no dating sites!! I expect nothing from most of the sites so I'm not disappointed!! As for the forums, there are maybe 20 women who regularly post, that does not make for much of a group to consider.

A valid point Oldkid, but of all the sites, I believe Mingle to be the best. Social interaction with the potential of meeting someone that becomes that special one. I've seen it happen for a few in the last year, so I believe it is possible.

A valid point Oldkid, but of all the sites, I believe Mingle to be the best. Social interaction with the potential of meeting someone that becomes that special one. I've seen it happen for a few in the last year, so I believe it is possible. and that doesn't find someone for the theater on Friday night or dancing on Saturday night! That is why I say there are no real dating sites that I have found. For me, Mingle is mostly a social site as there are no active members to even chat with other than in the forums.

But, as he says..if the pool of people who are actually on the Forums is small...the likelyhood of meeting someone you have anything in common with is unlikely. Some topics in the Forum haven't had anyone post in months/ weeks... Some have only had one or two replies.

We all have the option of creating threads if there is a lack of active forums. And we all have the option of using other means of meeting people, like the traditional way of going out in society... at least a lot of us do, some are home bound and can't. But that is a topic for another discussion. This topic is about how men feel about woman initiating the first date or being the one to pursue the man. Thank you both for sharing
