is it possible to stop getting winks, if i can where cause i cant find it

nope you can't block or turn off winks

It's not possible to stop the nudges, kisses, winks etc but you can delete them. If you click on the Nudge button it will show the list of those who have sent you winks and the option is there to remove them from that list or to block them.

No it's not, once you get to the list, you have to click on them, to go to their profile ( even though you don't want to ) to get the inbox number to dissapear , and what's the point in blocking them? Most of the time they've been deactivated anyway
If you look at profiles, most of them say, I don't respond to nudges or just hi
So honestly what purpose do they serve?

This might be one of those things that are dependent on how you are viewing this site. I use a Windows 10 desktop and the system works exactly as Di says.

As you say most of them come from those 'unsuitable' people who are only here for a short time before they are removed by the site. I find that the thing to do is click on Nudges then look at the pictures. If she is young and not wearing much, then clearly this is not someone who would find an oldie like me irresistable. This person will soon be removed by the site, so it's not worth the time and effort to delete or block them. If someone my own age looks at me and she seems interesting, then I can click on the profile to see more about her.

I think the 'purpose' is for our younger members to 'flirt' with those they find attractive. At least I think that's what it might be for. I'm too old to remember how to flirt
