Nice, and very interesting Dino. I've known how important hugs were but didn't know about the 20 seconds part. Thinking back, I doubt very many of the hugs I've gotten over the past few years have lasted that long. Nor have hugs been a daily thing in my life, lately two or three a month.

Guess it's time to seek out those daily hugs, especially the 20 second ones.

Yes, they are. Makes me wonder how often people hug for 20 seconds, unless they are romantically involved that is.

Twenty seconds may not seem like a long time, but when you're holding someone, it can seem like an eternity, especially for those who are uncomfortable with closeness... when it lasts longer than the usual 3 second hug.

It would be interesting to practice doing so while observing the thoughts going through your mind, and your comfort level. A good indicator of how comfortable you are with intimacy. Hmmm..

I hear that, most feel uncomfortable after 3 seconds and don't know weather to push away or just go with the flow..
