MY question is simple. background: When I ask potential women for dates (in the past), the women made a point of "shouting/screaming" in my face "You are NOT a man!", and "You don't deserve a woman" -> did you insult her first...

why would anyone act like that ...if you do not know them ...

BY contrast, when I see a woman who is interested, yet she is not my type, I try to be courteous, saying "Sorry, I am looking for someone else."

That's ok and understandable ... thing to say ...

And YES, I Do have a specific type, of woman, that I seek.

well all have that specific type of person ...
nothing wrong with saying that either ...

Any suggestions on a more polite way, to decline a woman?

I am looking for someone local ...
and some one different then in my past ...

but talking to someone one LD ... has to know their only a friend ...
and we might never meet ...

I have said ... I do not believe we have anything in common ...
after looking at their profile ... but good luck on your journey ...

I believe in the "no reply is an answer" when I send or receive a message. However, if you are in conversation and then find your not interested, I agree a polite response as many here have already suggested is the best way.

My understanding is that on your leaving Mingle2 for whatever reason, your account is deactivated, but it can be re-activated if you decide to return.
