Topic: Good songs for acoustic guitar?

I like thrumming a few dischords and groaning a few tunes, of an evening :) Anyone got any favorite songs that work really well? It's great to learn a new song. Kind of fishing for ideas really. apreciate any good ideas, Usually play a 12 string.

Depends what you like :) I played "Never Going Back" by Fleetwood Mac on guitar, not the easiest, but SO beautiful! I had a really great version of "Michelle" by the Beatles as well. That's all I can think of right now. It's late, hihi.

you cant always get what you want....rolling stones pretty much C and F back and forth with the lyrics.....until D--but if you try sometime...F--you might find you get what....C--you need one of my favorites because it's really easy to play and sing with

Good stuff chaps :) when i used to play (many years ago) we didnt have the benifit of the internet. but now you can google the song and type chorde and 10 minutes later you know the song. It's great. Learned tha one "we used to know" by jethro tull recently. works well solo.

you.tube is great for tutorials by some very good players right now i am studying "Travis Picking with Don Ross" ...<(google it) he takes his time and isn't concerned about showing off how good he is but more about helping others progress in their own right...

Yes, tutorials and tabs, although not sure how this works for 12 strings. For drums it's always more difficult to find tabs.

I picked it up in no time. just practice now, till its automatic and quicker. you might want to check out the ragtime tute by Steve Dahlberg on youtube your thumb is doing the same thing, pretty much as the travis pick. Rag it on up.

I have spates of trying a thumb pick but keep going back to bare thumb ,the pick sounds harsh and too loud
