WHAT HAPPENS TO THE DEAD?

What happens when a person dies?
Why do people die?
Do I need to know the truth about death?

These questions have worried people for thousands of years. The answers to them are in the Bible.

1.
The death of loved ones brings a lot of grief. And we want to know:
where are our relatives? do they see us?
do they suffer? can we help them?
will we see them again?

Someone thinks that good people will go to heaven, while bad people will suffer in the fire;
others think that the dead enter the spirit world;
still others say that when people die, they end up in the underworld, where they will be judged, and then they will be reborn into another being.

All of these answers have one thing in common - some part of the person experiences the death of the body and continues to live.

But is it possible?

The Word of God (the Bible) says that when a person dies, he ceases to exist. Death is the opposite of life. The dead cannot see, hear, do anything, think ... There is nothing immortal in a person, there is no immortal soul. Read Ecclesiastes 9: 5.6

2.
Adam and Eve disobeyed God and broke his law. Therefore, they lost their perfection and the ability to live forever. Instead, they acquired disease, aging and death.

3.
Knowing the truth about death, we understand that:
the dead do not suffer and do not experience pain;
you don't need to be afraid of them, because they cannot harm us;
we cannot help and talk to each other.

Knowing the truth about the state of the dead, we protect ourselves from all sorts of lies of all psychics, mediums and even priests. After all, these people, playing on our fears, deceiving us, earn money. And we also understand that there is no afterlife.

Nothing happens to a dead person ---
it simply ceases to exist.

So, yer sayin DEAD isn't DEAD, its LIFE?
If DEAD is LIFE what does that mean LIFE is?
If I cut my finger off it sure smells DEAD.
When dad died, he wasn't ALIVE, I checked.
Are you tellin me dad is still ALIVE?
He ain't gunna like being in that casket.

Frankly, I was kinda looking forward to being DEAD when I DIE.
It would really suk having LIFE after DEATH.
I can't see how my body would work right?

But hey, I'm not really here right now, I'm floating around the Universe making fun of rocks.

For Tom4Uhere

I apologize for my bad english.

I want to say that a person does not live after death. He lies in the grave and
cannot speak, breathe, think ...
He died.

They don't die they only change the body, like if you have very old car not working, too many problem. you get rid of it and get another car, remember body is not you something else is there which doesn't die. Body is always changing getting old one day it has to go. There are meditation that can make you realize of your past lives.

Thank you for your opinion.

Many people think so. But this is the opinion of people.

Genesis 3:19 says, "In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to
the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will
return."

Here God says that when a person dies, he will return to the earth. The human body
will disintegrate into atoms and become dust. Because you are taken from there.

A person will not receive a new body, will not become an angel, will not burn in
hell, nothing will happen to him. He died and there is no life in him.

This is not me speaking, God and the Bible teaches this.

Yes, the Bible is not a textbook, much less propaganda.
The Bible is the Word of God. And they began to write it when such concepts did not
exist.
God does not force anyone to serve himself. Therefore, he does not need to propagate
anything.

The Bible shows that there are two types of death: physical death and eternal death. And that our soul will live forever in one of two places: heaven or hell. If you are not a Christian - you will immediately go after death to the place Jesus called Hades.
The Holy Scriptures prove the existence of Hell and confirm that Hell is the fate of every person who refuses to accept Christ as Savior.
The angels come out and separate the wicked from among the righteous. "Then he also says to those on the left, “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Matthew 25:41

Dear sister, God made us for his pleasure, and we were supposed to live forever on the earth. Because we started to sin, he destroyed the people and repopulated the earth with Noah, his sons and their wives. But because we still sin, God cutted our lifes short and so we die. So, to understand this correctly, we die because we sin (the wages of sin is death). The less we sin, the longer we life and the happier our lifes will be.

when we die, we go to the spiritual world to be judged by God and are then sent back to the earth to do our lives over and over, until we become perfect. This is part of the "Grace of God" and it will last until Christ makes his second return. If we become spiritual or blameless before Christ makes his 2nd coming, then we will receive honors and the Kingdom of Heaven, which means eternal life on earth. If not then we die the 2nd death meaning we vanish from existence. Incase you wonder about the animals, then there is no judgement for them, since they can't sin and therefore they pass on to a next life and are reborn again.

I am however not able to write about this subject indepth, because God's plans are much larger than this, and whether you believe it or not, we humans are NOT equal nor are we the same. Therefore our destinies are not the same. My goal is never to hurt but to enlighten and hopefully this makes sense to you.

Note: I didn't quote any biblical text, since I am just glimpsing on this subject.
However, the bible must be read precept upon precept to get the full understanding.
[Isaiah 28-9:10].

Thank you for your reply.

I believe that God did not create people for his own pleasure and we are not
toys for him.

God is love.
==================
God's creations, including people, are an expression of God's love. As a loving
Father, he wants us not to just live, but to find pleasure in everything that
God has created for us. 1 John 4: 8 - "Whoever does not love has not come to
know God, because God is love."

Death
==========
Also, when a person dies, he cannot do, speak, think. And naturally, he cannot
return to earth. He is simply in the grave, asleep in death (as Jesus Christ
said).
Psalm 146: 4: "His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground. On that very day
his thoughts perish."

Yes, to understand God's truths you need to study God's Word - the Bible.

Y'r welcome sister! I can see you are reading the bible. I like that, but you must learn to precept the bible for the full understanding. For instance: the word saint is mentioned in relevaltion [14:12]. As a teenager you must have heard of that word, right? Do you know who the saints are? John is assuming that the reader needs no further explanation, due to the precepts.

I did mention not using biblical text, although I never write my own vain thoughts or opinions. In revelation [4:11] you can read that God DID create men for his pleasure:
Rev[4:11] Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for THY PLEASURE they are and were created.

So my dear sister, that's why we die. Because God has NO PLEASURE in our doings. We will have "everlasting life" when this world ends, and then His Kingdom will come on earth, as it is in Heaven [Mat. 6:9]. Ruled by Christ. Then the dying will STOP.
Hopefully this helps.

Note: You read and reference biblical text, and then write what you "believe".

The bible does teach reincarnation or regeneration, but you need more study and soul searching.

God is indeed love, but God also hates. The bible teaches us to love the good things and hate evil. Further more, God does not love everybody, nor does he loves this world.

[1 john 2:5] Love not the world neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the father is not in him. This verse can also be precepted with [James 4:4] and [John 17:9].

Sir!
I will not answer your barbs addressed to me, let alone argue.

I don't know what translation of the Bible you are using.
But Rev 4:11 of our translation does not mention the word "pleasure". You have probably mixed up the verses.

The tone of your message suggests that your relationship with Jehovah is very difficult. I can also guess who you are, judging by your appeal.

I wish you all the best. Goodbye.

Luke 16 9 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

This is true for all people. But all prophets can hear us and we can plead with the prophets to ask God Almighty for help, sustenance and health
