From USA Today another of Biden's accomplishments:
"Biden White House says 5 staffers no longer employed because of marijuana use policy"

"White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Friday that five staffers no longer work for the president because of past marijuana use despite updated guidelines that past use wouldn’t automatically disqualify staff from serving in the White House."

Does this mean that Kamala Harris' admitted history of marijuana use disqualify her and should she be fired too???????

I grew up in Scranton, but had no idea he was born there until he ran for POTUS in 2008. Overall I think he's a good man, but my politics aren't his politics, and like most politicians he's captive to the more extreme elements of his party. Like all POTUS's, he does what he campaigned against; signing dozens of executive orders when he previously said they shouldn't be used, supporting reconciliation not just for budget bills, but now for other legislation which means SCOTUS-packing isn't far behind, something he said he was against. So that's my take, is that he campaigned as a centrist but will govern to the far right to satisfy the AOC's of the world.

1. Nobody here suggested 'impeachment' - so why introduce it? If Joe retires after vaccination drive is completed he would leave behind an enviable legacy of practicality.

2. What has Trump got to do with Joe's tripping?

3. I agree on that there were far too many steps - for any senior citizen to climb and I'm sure that leaders around the world (most being in senior years) are not laughing. The joke is on the US military (sorry Mr. Patriot). They could easily have arranged an escalator. In fact it's high time commercial airlines also considered this.

The underlying point remains, Joe did not win the elections. Trump lost it to CNN, NYT and Big Tech. I don't see Trumpees hating Joe at all. For God's sake, he's an old man with one leg in the grave..., just a convenient face thrust forward by the Swamp leadership to keep the likes of Bernie Sanders out.

And I don't think people outside of US look forward to Trump returning in 2024 either. It would be like return of Napoleon. Nobody in his right mind wants that kind of history to repeat.

If they would just legalize it at the fed level, this could all be avoided. Biden’s admin had
loosened restrictions on past marijuana use because they were having difficulties filling positions
among younger candidates lol. I think if congress all lit up, they might get more done. :)

Forgot to answer the question! Harris must have fallen into the waiver for past use
category with the other 100 who didn’t lose their jobs. Those 5 must have had other
disqualifying factors, although that has not been disclosed, yet.

Saying we should just legalize marijuana to avoid controversy is a ridiculous statement. Kamala says it would be the smart thing to do is just as ridiculous. Marijuana is a narcotic, it doesn’t make you smarter. To legalize it would be setting an example to kids that it’s ok if they do it. Procrastination, split second decisions and valid reasoning are impaired with the use of marijuana and to give kids an incentive to be even less educated is not a smart thing to do. Keep it like it is now , we can still get our weed.

It's not just with kids, Bart.

Canada has legalized pot since 2018, and from just my small circle of people - they've made the move from never (or maybe once or twice) to full blown potheads.

Exactly! I look at it this way . A lock on you valuables will keep a honest person honest. You remove that lock and a usually honest person can be tempted to do the dishonest thing.

Well I can certainly see that you've learned all the correct right wing buzzwords. Let's examine your latest ridiculous statements in your order:

1. Do you not understand sarcasm? Good dodge with the practicality thing, I will give you credit in that when you couldn't find anything negative on this topic you at least gave credit where it's due.

2. This thread would be more correctly named "the we worship Trump thread" so I reserve the right to call attention to their hero.

3. I actually agree with this but will add I find it amusing that you like to refer to me as Mr. Patriot (I guess you really don't understand sarcasm).

Oh we've abandoned the numbering system.
I see you've also learned to parrot the sub-section of the "big lie" one of the standard Trump excuses for losing (like the fantasy claim of voter fraud).
Do you think maybe, just maybe Trump lost because the American voters wanted Biden more than Trump as our president?
You don't see "Trumpee's hating Joe"<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Seriously?
Your last paragraph seems to negate everything else you say, I honestly don't get it..................

Oh no! Not potheads...............maybe they were better off being the power drinkers they've traditionally been.
Speaking for those of us with morals, a lock has nothing to do with being honest, if you're not you're not.

Marijuana may not make you smarter but it certainly doesn't have the opposite effect like alcohol.
Marijuana does not kill brain cells, alcohol does.
Why would legalization set a bad example for kids? Do you think it matters to them if it's legal?
If kids know mom and dad smoke weed but it's illegal is better than them knowing mom and dad smoke weed but it's legal?
Why would weed being legal encourage kids to be less educated?
Of course it's better (by your mindset) for everyone that wants weed to be breaking laws getting it and having it?!?

Apparently you don’t know much about how young people think. Even the most well behaving kid can be tempted to do something they no is wrong. My point was to not make it easier for kids to smoke pot . But it’s obvious you just want to disagree with anything that makes sense if it comes from a Trump supporter. But that’s what I expected coming from a person of “ morals” .

Oh and since I have a 16 year old daughter (who I'm very close to) that's an honor student and a national level cheerleader who BTW has known that I've smoked weed almost every day for the last 45+ years I believe I know a bit about how kids think.

You believe Trumpees hate Joe, don't you?

That would be like hating the duck who won in a cock-fight - as below

The Sheriff down in Lafayette called Thibodeaux into his office.
"We have reports of an illegal cock fighting ring here in the Parrish, go down there tonight and see what's going on." Said the Sheriff

So that evening Thibodeaux put on his street clothes and headed out to the location. He watched and took careful notes.

The next morning he reported back to the Sheriff.
"Deys three groups involved in the cock fights. De Texas Aggies. De cajuns, and de mafia," said Thibodeaux proudly.

"We have been trying to crack this thing for 3 months. How did you figure it out in one night?" Exclaimed the Sheriff.

"Well, it's simple really. I knew dem Aggies wuz involved when someone entered a duck into a cock fight. I knew de Cajuns wuz involved when someone bet on de duck. I knew de mafia was involved when de duck won."

Replace Media for Cajuns and Big Tech for mafia - and what do we have?

The winner Joe Biden!

Now why would anyone hate a duck?

Personally I think marijuana should be legalize nationally even though I don't use it. I don't think someone who used it before, or even uses now, should be disqualified from holding a job in the public or private sector. However I believe if someone shows up for their job high they should he treated the same way as someone who shows up for work drunk. I never had a problem with the use of marijuana for medical purposes but I'm not so naive to believe a lot of people who call it medicine are using it for the SOLE purpose of getting high.....which I also have no problem with adults doing.

I wasn't suggesting that Harris should lose her job however I am suggesting she should be held to the SAME standards as EVERYONE else. What hasn't been specified by the Biden administration is what make someone, ANYONE, eligible for their "waiver" except that it involves security clearance. I'm pretty sure (I don't know for sure) that as VP Harris has the TOP security clearance.

I don't want a double standard to be used regardless of persons position to protect or hurt them.

Nothing you have ever posted has left me speechless. And the fact you been getting high everyday for the last 45 years does surprise me. I had you pegged as someone very uncool. My fish has a little more respect for you. Lol.... Congratulations to your daughter.
