Wonderful photos, River!!
Love that you are sharing them :)

And the ostrich... I do not like ostriches, nor emus for that matter. I would've closed the window, hahaha. Yup, me is chicken when it comes to these birds!
You daredevil!

The bison, beautiful beasts!!!

Thanks Crystal

Haha, all I could think of was... please don't peck me, please don't peck me laugh

But he definitely was a character, had me laughing like crazy. I keep getting the Emu's mixed up with the Ostriches, haha. They had Ostriches too. :)

Emus are a tad smaller, but still big enough to look nasty, hihi.
One of Indonesia's islands I visited had kasuari (casowary), ostrich family but smaller than emu, although still large. They aren't normally aggressive, but can be dangerous, lethal even, when provoked.
Not my cup of tea.

In any case... he/she was just sizing you up, figuring out if you were a delicious fruit to eat or not, lol.

I'm taking a break from traveling today... It's a relaxation day.

But I have a few pictures to post from yesterday when I went to the Natural Bridge. The park was breathe taking. love

The trail ended at the waterfalls, about a little over a mile away. I didn't go that far since I had a long drive afterwards. But I did run across a cave, with some pretty cool history...

Pilot Mountain in North Carolina... Driving up to the Summit was a lot easier than driving down, hahahaha! But totally worth the challenge, it was beautiful and the energy was amazing.

The History of Pilot Mountain is fascinating...

I had planned to do a little hiking at the Yadkin River section of the State Park, but in order to access the parking area, I had to drive over three little streams. It had rained the day before, so the first one was a little too deep for my liking, lol.

On my way there, I stopped by and toured the Horne Creek Living Historical Farm. Fascinating history of the farm. It was built by the Hauser Family. It's still a living farm, with goats, chickens, a donkey, and a crop garden. The last photo is the tobacco barn, where they dried the tobacco and prepared it to sell.

I was able to walk through the house, it was huge inside, with lots of bedrooms and beautiful furniture. I was going to take pictures of the rooms inside the house, but for some reason I didn't... perhaps the spirits didn't want me to, haha.

Here's a link about the history, in case anyone is interested...

Yes, it is. I have to admit, until recently I never paid much attention to the history. During this trip I've been checking it out more, and I'm finding it definitely adds to the experience. Yesterday I was envisioning the family and the workers all around the farm.

So happy you're doing the sightseeing and exploring this time!
The close-up of Pilot Mountain is stunning. I'm curious what energies you felt there? Especially since it is connected to Stonehenge via leylines. That stuff always intrigues me!

It was a very uplifting, energizing kind of energy. I didn't feel any kind of dizziness, which surprised me, haha. The formation of the clouds intrigued me quite a bit, it felt and looked like there was a lot of vibrational activity going on. It's tough to explain, but a couple of my pictures gave me the same feeling.

The clouds are indeed peculiar. If not from airplanes certainly interesting!
It's an unusual 'rock', that top part.
I do feel a vibe when looking at photos of the entire mountain though, so with the slopes included.

In any case, happy you had a wonderful time there, and the other places you visited.
