The Hidden Within

The night so cold
Oh, how mine heart aches
A perfect storm rises
The tempest, it rages!

Confusion runs rampant
Like the twisting of fate,
A chaotic spark...
Burns brightly, then fades.

The eye, how it watches
Yet seems calmly unstirred
Bringing patience to commotion
A calamity deterred.

Baited in breath
While shivers abound...
How can this be?
The calm wears a shroud

An explosion of violence
Tearing the fabric of time
Forever seems never
Until destruction subsides.

The night! oh so dark!
No light is thus spared.
What's left is to be
Left alone... inside me.
