Then I thought that fortune tellers 'seem' to have great success for no apparent scientific reason. Dare I suggest the same sort of psychology is at work here and the MB test is not as wonderful as claimed by those who use it? You can say whatever you like. Diverse opinions are great ![]() |

Witness .....!
Yes. I was assaulted by a teenage gang of thugs. I was at the money machine. They threw a bottle at my feet, I knew then to get away. The one of them hit me over the head with a baseball bat.
Some guy across the street took the whole lot on and I call him my angel. ![]() |

Ghost story
John Bradford, a University student, was on the side of the road hitch-hiking on a very dark night and in the midst of a big storm. The night was rolling on and no car went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly, he saw a car slowly coming towards him and stopped. John, desperate for shelter and without thinking about it, got into the car and closed the door ... only to realize there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't running. The car started moving slowly. John looked at the road ahead and saw a curve approaching. Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life. Then, just before the car hit the curve, a hand appeared out of nowhere through the window, and turned the wheel. John, paralyzed with terror, watched as the hand came through the window, but never touched or harmed him. Shortly thereafter, John saw the lights of Opononi pub appear down the road, so, gathering strength, he jumped out of the car and ran to it... Wet and out of breath, he rushed inside and started telling everybody about the horrible experience he had just had. A silence enveloped the pub when everybody realized he was crying ... and wasn't drunk. Suddenly, the door opened, and two Maori's walked in from the dark and stormy night. They, like John, were also soaked and out of breath. Looking around, and seeing John Bradford sobbing at the bar, one said to the other... Look Hori ... there's that idiot that got in the car while we were pushing it!' |

QUOTE: Poem: “I’m not afraid” By: Veronica A Rogers Dated: 12th January 2012 I am not afraid to die, to cry, I never want to lie, I'm not afraid of being real – I'm sad that others fear and do bad things when they feel trapped within their lies – but I rise, to a new sort of sunrise and seek to throw off all disguise .... I rise... and it's no surprise.. that I grow quieter, calmer, stronger, bolder, better: by myself; so I can be my best self with others… for when I spend time alone I thrive from alone-time And can’t help but rise for I see the future in my eyes... Tis a great poem. X

I get to hug my daughter in about an hour :) We're also in lockdown, not allowed to do that, but we don't give a toss. Hope you get to do the same soon! ![]() ![]() You’re very lucky as my children all live over a hundred miles away from me in England ![]() That's difficult! But your day will come! ![]() ![]() ![]() Hey. I have not seen my 22 year old daughter for well over a year. I am flying to meet her and her partner on Friday. So, so, so excited!!! I feel for you Trixie ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh Ladywind I’m so excited for you ![]() ![]() ![]() My daughter is marrying her partner October 2022 and I have everything crossed that covid will be well and truly under control by then. I hope your friend from Chile will be strong and well at the end of his two week quarantine. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you Trixie. With NZ levels changing because of Covid, my fingers are crossed that I can fly there before anything else happens. My friend from Chile is anxious, so am I. I just keep telling him we have his back and we are now his family. It is a huge undertaking for him to leave his family and immigrate here. He is only 30 years of age. Chile has many protests that he has partaken in, which scares me for him. Such bravery in light of the unknown. You are lovely. I really like your caring posts. Mingle needs you xxx Thank you Ladywind, that means a lot to me ![]() ![]() ![]() I have had a rough few years, but it has taught me kindness and empathy putting aside any self pity. Attached. I get attached emotionally to Minglers. They come, they go. And when they pop back in I want to hug the hell out of them. It takes all my self control to stop myself.
