Stickyweed / cleavers found their way into my garden last year and this year it's getting out of hand.
This afternoon I decided to pull out a bunch as I was walking outdoors. In my shorts and 3/4 length sleeves. I will NOT do that again! My skin burnt as if I'd been walking through nettles. The soft skin on my arm's inside had red markings that I can still see now, hours later. The stinging sensation has gone. Seriously unpleasant!! I did not know. I love nature, but I was not amused! |

Ooh I used to love this stuff as a kid , we used to throw it over each other Cus we thought it was funny it sticking to us .
But I donβt like it know as an adult Cus itβs a pain in the backside !! I used to get loads in my old garden . Was that a reaction to it you had , or is it generally an irritant thing as Iβve never noticed hat Iβve got irritated by it before |

Where there are plants, there are most likely insects.
Your reaction may be due to bites. |

It doesn't have any grip on skin really, but I think that whatever it is that makes it sticky is what caused the burning sensation. I've pulled it out before too, but then I was always wearing trousers and long sleeves or jacket. |

This is the kind of 'scratches' that the inside of my arms were covered with. I can still see today although less red.
