Who here thinks age is just a #? You can have different views on it, I'm just trying to see what everyone thinks about say..6+ years differeance between a couple.

Six years isn't much when you get older but when you are in your late teens and twenty's, there are just some things that are different between you. Maturity levels are different and what you want out of life may change as you get older.

I understand what your saying but, maturity isnt derived from age.

I don't think age matters up to a point. 6 years is no big deal at all as long as it's within the age of consent, but 50 years might be a differant story..lol;^]

I really do think age is just a number. When you start putting a restriction on things, then you limit yourself to who you might meet. I think you have to have an open mind and look beyond the whole numbers thing, I look at the maturity level. I have known many men who were 40 and acted like they were 18..so that just goes to show you that just because you have the numbers, you may not have the maturity level.
I had a relationship with someone who was 13 years younger, it was a great relationship. He acted very mature, everyone including myself thought he was much older then what he was. Plus he was very sexy because he had a lot of confidence in himself...of course thats always a plus in my book flowerforyou

There is 10yrs. between me and my ex- and age wasn't a factor in the breakup.
I don't think age is a factor for either sex. There is SOOOOOO much more to a relationship then age.

As you get older the age difference is not as significant. More important are a match in energy level and spirit. Some are old before their time. Worn down by life. However, I agree that 6+ years is a significant difference for younger people. It's a question of life experience and frame of reference.

I don't think age is a big deal at all. Now if you're a teenager dating a 20+ old person.....that's not cool but when you get in the 20's and 30's, there is no problem there.....in my opinion anyway. As long as you love, adore, protect and be good to each other....this is the only thing that makes a difference....

I usually go for the older men, like in there 40 or so. But have a hard time trying to go out with somebody younger then myself. Shocked a lot of my friends with my current boyfriend. He is actually the same age as me.

Well, the 6 years was just a random # thrown out there. Reason I asked is becasue I'm 19, but I have nothing in common with other 19 year olds. I don't drink, I don't party, I have a full time job, ect. Thus girls my age think I'm lame, and older ones wont give me time of day. I hope that came across correctly
