Ah the old divide and conquer rule? Let's light the blue touch paper and set those people, against that set of people? We will let them argue it out and then our problems will be solved, as they'll never unite fully against the real enemy? The Politicians and the Government! It doesn't matter what party is in Government in the States, they'll all make a mess of it, as that's their plan? The downfall of the American nation. This plan is in action throughout the Countries in Europe also, where the Governments and Politicians, aren't listening to the people anymore. Well, except in Poland and Hungary, but that's the exception. Every country seems to be in a race to destroy itself, it's economy and it's heritage also. You have to ask yourself 'Why, is that the case?" ![]() 🤷 Put your differences aside for a moment and have a debate about your country, without the influence of your political beliefs taking over your conversation? Let's see if any of you can actually do that?
Easier said than done. The social landscape of America is not the same as it was 10+ years ago when folks would disagree on political issues and still remain the best of friends at the end of the day. If you and I are not on the same page politically we are now enemies with even family members actually rejecting each other! It takes those who can see the bigger picture that's it all part of a greater agenda to destroy the social fabric of the West. The West is dying and geopolitical power is shifting to the East. |

It’s hard to have a debate about Americas problems or policies when one of two sides have nothing to debate about except Trump is evil , Trump is a nazi, Trump is destroying our republic. Dems need ideas for our country if they want a debate. Trump hating is not a plan for our country’s growth.. |

Are you sure you live in the US ? Because you post things that are completely false. Investments means revenue in the future because of textile mills coming back to the south. Computer chips in Cali. Three new jet production here in NC alone.. america is on its way back to the most prosperous place in the world thanks to President Trump.. No one actually believes the constant lies coming from your one group..
Do you honestly think that industrial facilities setup this year were caused by Trump? Those things take years to arrange. We're only just starting seeing the fruits of Biden's IRA. Trump, meanwhile, is destroying investor confidence by reneging diplomatic arrangements with our best trading partners. I'll say it again: That "investment" Trump claimed are exaggerated, not legally obligated and much of that was already going to happen, or was negotiated under Biden. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/trump-points-51-trillion-investments-middle-east-arent-exactly-real-rcna209811 And a nit-pick: Computer chips mostly don't come from California. I used to work for Intel, and it's a highly automated process, taking a lot of space. California land & power is expensive, so most of that moved to places like New Mexico, decades ago. Even Biden's CHIPS Act is paying for newer fabs in Ohio & Texas. Nobody really makes chips in California, outside the R&D plants. |

Neat, but tariffs are paid, not by the exporting country, but by the importing party, which when it's a merchant, it just gets passed on to the customers. So it's like a new sales tax, even on things that can't be made in the US, like coffee and consumer electronics. And it raises anti-US sentiment internationally. Trump is an imbecile. |

It's tax revenue, and it still doesn't outdo the tax cuts he gave to his billionaire friends, while the tariffs kill the US industrial sector. |

Of course, Trump is in denial, but everyone can see that the tariffs are hurting the country.
Fed's Powell issues new Trump tariffs warning www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/feds-powell-issues-new-trump-tariffs-warning/ar-AA1L2bJN?ocid=BingNewsVerp Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell warned that President Donald Trump's tariffs are pushing consumer prices higher and would continue to do so over the coming months.
Powell gave the warning in his annual Jackson Hole speech on Friday, though markets took the overall message of his address as a signal that the central bank would cut interest rates at the next opportunity in September. |

Trump did this. He's an imbecile and needs to be impeached. |

Prices are definitely not down. And even with the Trump Administration silencing the federal agencies reporting on consumer prices and employment, the numbers still get out and we can all see prices at the gas pump and in grocery stores. Prices are definitely higher. Inflation climbs in August as grocery and gas prices jump www.npr.org/2025/09/11/nx-s1-5537074/inflation-economy-grocery-gas-federal-reserve Consumers also saw higher prices for new and used cars, clothing and airfares in August. Stripping out volatile food and energy prices, "core" inflation was 3.1% for the last 12 months.

More evidence that Trump's tariffs are stupid (as if we needed anymore):
Manufacturers Say Trump Has Made Opening U.S. Factories Impossible newrepublic.com/post/195070/donald-trump-tariffs-manufacturers-opening-factories That’s because the supply chain to produce those goods in the United States simply isn’t there, requiring companies to import raw materials and factory equipment—which Trump’s tariffs have made unaffordable—from abroad.
And Trump’s unpredictable approach to announcing and enacting or even retracting his tariffs has added confusion and significant volatility to the market, making businesses less likely to invest in large, long-term projects such as factory development. And when Hyundai tried to start up a factory in the US, Trump's ICE swooped in and arrested all the South Korean advisers and trainers. Completely stopping all the progress toward thousands of US jobs. Trump isn't always at fault, but he hired these idiots for his cabinet. He should be impeached, or replaced, per the 25th Amendment. |

He's getting slower, dumber and less stable by the day, and I wonder if he'll make it another year before JD Vance has to take over. |

Ha. The SCOTUS declared Trump's tariffs illegal, today.
They still have to decide what to do about the $100+ billion already wrongfully collected. Looks like Walmart will get a bump in their stock price. |

You've all seen the likes of Bart before.
The Peoples' Temple - 918 people suicided, including over 200 children. Order of the Solar Temple - 74 murder-suicides. Heaven's Gate - 39 suicides. Shakahola Forest - death toll stands at 448 as of 2024. It's not like this death cultism is a 20th/21st century phenomenon either, this shight has been going on as far back in recorded history as 206 B.C. at Astapa, when an entire city decided to immolate themselves rather than face Roman rule. Eric Hoffer wrote a lot of brilliant philosophical treatises on why people join cults, starting with 1951's "The True Believer" which attempted to answer why the sophisticated and scientifically advanced people in Germany fell for & believed in the ravings of a midget madman with (allegedly monorchistic) 1 testicle, a bad haircut, & a goofy mustache. Basically, lost souls such as our friend Bart here, are lonely & feel they have no agency over their own lives - that "Power" ignores and discards them as meaningless. By joining a cult they begin to feel like they matter again. They gain friends, a group identity, & feel like they are regaining agency over their own lives. Sadly, we all know where this crap ends, but before it gets to its inevitable conclusion a lot of damage can take place & the larger the cult the more widespread the damage. And, as we've seen out of Bart, cult members not only BELIEVE in "Dear Leader", they repeat his/her utterances as gospel - which is why we all hear the same refrains over & over again - M.A.G.A. - as if this magical America actually existed somewhere in a retrievable past before 80% of the MAGAt cult members were even born. (It greatly aids selling the cult's beliefs if the adherents never actually experienced the "idealized" time & place.) In FACTUAL truth, this ideated MAGA era they worship (1950s) came about in large part because of societal conditions they now hate with a religious fervor. America was never stronger than post-WWII, when the largest middle-class the world has ever seen arose BECAUSE OF things like Unions, progressive taxation, gummint regulation of capitalism's excess, & attempts to lift the immigrant, the minority raced, & the poor (all "the others" that MAGAts denigrate) to a higher level of economic existence & inclusion in an attempt to form "a more perfect Union. As we sit here, some 13 months into dRUMP's attempts to make himself one of the "dictator's little boys' club" inflation stubbornly remains persistent, job loss/creation is at a 60 year low exceeded only by dRUMP's 1st term during a global pandemic, & America's standing in the world couldn't be lower - well, it COULD, and "Dear Leader" seems hell-bent on making it happen through ignorance and a 3rd-grader's level understanding of silly things like tariffs, diplomacy, respect for allies, & most importantly of all - how much America prospered in the world PRECISELY because America was supposedly being ripped-off by other countries. (Completely untrue; that "ripped-off" condition set the world stage for America's leadership in scientific R&D, economic strength, & making America the place the rest of the world wanted to emulate.) "Pax Americana", which led to a global stability for the past 8 decades, is collapsing. A new economic world order is being born with Canada's leadership in calling for the middle powers to begin joining in an economic system that begins with a lot of countries starting to find ways around putting up with dRUMP's mercurial tariff TACO-ism. Perhaps this is a good thing? For far too long America has abused the world's trust, starting with wars across the globe we've engaged in that were based on lies and political power maneuvers. Wars that needn't have happened if American leaders better understood other countries needs & desires to live their lives as they saw fit. Was it REALLY America's place to continue France's imperialist colonial policies in 1954 Vietnam? Was it REALLY America's place to bomb the shight out of Iraq & Afghanistan just because some Saudi rich man's crazy jihadist 17th son decided to have planes fly into a few buildings? Was it, and does it continue to be, America's place to bomb little fishing boats, kidnap a foreign leader, bomb a foreign country for perceived nuclear enrichment development, give quiet support to an evil dictator's plans to erase a sovereign nation we supposedly agreed to protect in the 1994 Budapest Agreement, or aid in the genocide of the Palestinian peoples in Israel? Meanwhile, Bart's blathering about all the "winning" going on hasn't aged well & the MAGA movement itself has become a leaking ship just 6 months later, as the former MAGAt politicians are starting to bail themselves out of the cult & let it continue its inevitable settlement into the same grave the Titanic now lays in. |
