i'm fairly sane. that's actually my strong point, lol.

four are kittens...and will hopefully be finding new homes (all but one) very soon...cause otherwise i'll strangle myself.

the kids, of course, want to keep them all. grrr.

3 isn't too bad

thing is, so many people take it too far and just keep aquiring animals. i doubt i have to explain, pretty much everyone has seen that animal cops show.

you're a crazy cat lady when the cats are your only social contact. when there's not a square foot of your place without urine or poop. when you find yourself buying your cats the best of the best but you yourself eats bread and water. etc etc...

so no, it would not seem that you're a crazy cat lady. those types often seem to have a reality disconnect. some do know they have a prob though

snork! the lady down the street fits that description to a T.

i would have said that my mother-in-law did...cause she has 32 cats. however, all of the females save one were fixed, and most of the males. each cat went to the vet regularly...all had shots and whatnot, and all were well-fed and well-taken-care-of. three were indoor cats, the rest were only allowed in on occasion...and the house was spotless. she also lived on her own land in the middle of nowhere.

i think it depends on the person, lol.

Brittney?noway
but, had it been her ex- who refused to return the kids, he would have been tazed, and been in the hospital for broken bones and bruises, and possibly gunshot wounds. The cops sure as **** would not have spent 3 hours trying to talk him into giving them up.

I really feel sorry for all involved.
So much money & talent, wasted.
Seems to me the whole family needs our pity & our prayers.
Mom, sister, Britney, kids, ex's, boyfriends, just such a waste.

i think she's bi-polar.

she appears manic more than depressed.

Would I be wrong in saying that if she IS bipolar that could possibly make her more likely to get post pardum as well? If she already had a history of mental illness, as it looks like it probably runs in her family, wouldn't it just make it that much worse? I feel so bad for her babies, I feel even worse for the unborn one, who with her partying antics, may either not be born at all, be born still, or with serious problems. I really do not wish for her to get a wake up call in that manner.

sort of.

it would normally be classified as just bi-polar...since there's already a depressive component. birth just exacerbates the issue.

anything that might cause depression in a person that isn't bi-polar can definitely trigger a depressive episode in one that is.

her mania is pretty extreme...when she crashes, it's gonna hurt.

If shes on any meds for depression or bi-polarness than all that alcohol she drinks won't help at all, it just makes it easier to swing one way or the other

No one should be tazered. Those things should be outlawed. They have been shown to be cruel and inhumane instruments of torture and confusion and panic. I am totally against them. All police officers issued them should have to be tazered 10 times. Then maybe they will think before they use them!

Every picture I have seen of Brittney's children with her, they have looked scared if not terrified!!

Actually, being bi-polar deosn't influence postpartum depression. But....being postpartum may be causing her to self-medicate with drugs/alcohol. Then she might (and I say might) have crossed the line to addiction.

An independent study done by Wake Forrest seems to contradict your statements. Read about the study at the link below if you care to be enlightened. And don't attack me, I'm just the messenger.

The girl doesn't need to be tazered for cryin out loud... the last thing she needs is yet another traumatic event to set her back even further. She need HELP, not abuse. I don't care WHAT any studies say, tazering is cruel unless its being used to stop someone who is really trying to harm others.

Since her behavior started to swing around wildly BEFORE she ever had children, I don't think Postpartum has anything to do with it. Bi-polar is something I hadn't thought about, but it does fit more than anything else.

The training and usage guidelines seems to be what is at issue. Using a tazer on a person who locked himself out of his house so he was going in his own window seems extreme. And then he was found guilty of resisting arrest when he didn't resist anything. He was ordered to turn around, he did, and then they tazered him. And how do you arrest someone for trying to get into his own home anyway. Then tazering a person, who falls down because of the shock, ordering the person to get up and using the tazer while the person is getting up, then repeating this process over half a dozen times. No, tazers are supposed to be a safer alternative to shooting, but because officers know it is approved, they seem to be using then in a way that should be classified as brutality and cruel and unusual punishment.
