"Kids At Play" Looking out the window as it snows. Listening to the wind as it blows. Glancing over at the fire as it glows. Thinking ohh what a great day. That finally the snow came our way. But will it be here to stay. Kids outside throwing a Frisbee. One runs after it an almost hits a tree. He is okay it is clear to see. Another grabs it and gives it a throw. Watching it glide oh so slow. It was better than watching a show. It's so refreshing to watch them play. Having so much fun that way. Wondering will the snow stay. Watching a dad come out of his shed. In his hands was a homemade sled. Thinking what will happen ahead. He had made it in his little shop. The little boy climbed on top. Rode the sled till it came to a stop. You could hear all the kids yell. Look on the front is even a cowbell. Heard one boy say gee this is swell. Once to the bottom they would come back. One by one they got the knack. Of making the sled go down the track. They were all happy they got it right. They ran and played in the day light. The sun is setting soon it will be night. You could hear one mother call out Ron. He looked at his friends and gave a big yawn. As he fell back in the snow out on the lawn. He proclaimed with a loud scream. Ya know what we make a great team. This is better than I ever dream. Wish we all could just stay. But the dark is coming this way. Lets all meet here tomorrow and play. K.L.M 1/17/2007 Decided to re-post from the past...
