What kind of man...lets his MOM share a hotel Room with him and his wife then lets his mom control the TV, and Eat all the food, then asks her son If she makes better cookies then his wife, right infront of her! THEN in the middle of the night her SON wakes up to crawl in bed with his mom?? He has a problem. Sounds like my ex, was always taking his mom out drinking, etc. He was super attached. Talked to a counselor years later and he said my ex fit the profile of a man who had been molested by his mom. My ex was an extremely violent alcoholic too, don't know about your partner.

Sounds like your partner needs to do some major growing up. I sure wouldn't take the back seat to anyone's mommy anymore. You need to respect your partner's parents, of course, but him crawling in bed with her is more than a little bizarre/warped. He has issues in my opinion.
