Im sorry, I didnt think a girl who slept with 50 guys was a slut. Why woudl you put a quantitive number on anything like that. Who the hell cares and what difference does it make. for that matter what buisiness is it of anybodies how many peopel someone has slept with it. Judge not less ye be judged yourself! Judgemental people really disgust me!  I agree, but we are talking about society as whole here |

One psychologist would say it has to do with the amount of eggs a woman has compared to the amount of sperm a man has. Men are supposed to spread their seed while women are supposed to concerve theirs. Another pshchologist would say it is a social standard that we are subjected to from a young age is all. Just like how little boys should play with toy trucks and little girls should play with dolls. Who really knows though... There actually is something to the inherent nature of a man "spreading seed". I've even studied birds that are exclusive year after year as a couple during summer but spend winters apart. The males cheat with many other females during the winter - those that have no mates. |

I agree with what was said above, I think part of the double standard stems from the idea that men are supposed to spread their seed as it is limitless and women are supposed to cherish their eggs, thus it is alright for a man to sleep around but not for a woman. I do think it is unfair that there is a double standard and I do think it is wrong that people are judged based on how many sexual partners they have. Will it ever change, who knows?

It's absolutely ridiculous, that's what it is. There should be the same standards held to both sexes, period, no exceptions.

A man tends to like a woman that is a slut, but a slut just for him. I think it has something to do with the way human brains are hardwired - something to do with ancient survival and care-taking instincts regarding offspring. Probably has more to do with ensuring one's genes get passed on through the generations than anything else. |

I mean, let's say a girl loses her virginity at 16, and she's now 60 and still happily single...one per year is only 44 men...is that really so much? |
