I have a Hewlet Packard Photosmart 8000 Series printer, it worked fine, then about one month ago I tried to print using this software, I have now had countless error messages. I have uninstalled it several times, the trouble I am now experiencing is;
1.it loads 5 out of 7 of the installation steps and just freezes
2. I try to update the drivers ( as per instruction) I go to HP's web site and access the relevant drivers, but that also gets to a certain point (54%) before it hangs for what seems like eons then comes up with an error message "The web site has been re-set during this download" I get this time and time again...........

Needless to say this is quite frustrating, any ideas anyone ? Thanks

I have no useful ideas. Nothing that would fix it. Nothing other than the solution that results when throwing it out a window, a high window. But then, I'm have printer problems myself right now. Only I can't find the disk to try a reinstall. And updating drivers online didn't do anything.

The HP website should have a number or email address for troubleshooting. That would be your best bet.

Sounds like a software conflict.

What is your operating system?

You have to delete all of the HP files before you can reload any of the printers software or you just keep adding to the mess. If you go into Control Panel and Add of Remove Programs and delete all of the HP programs then reload. The other thing you can do after you get the printer working is copy all of the files to a file on the root of your system hard drive(usually the C;/ drive. Then is your printer hiccups the files are there and it will reinstall what it needs.

i would suggest uninstalling

then run error check

my computor right click primary drive (usually c)

properties

tool error check

check both boxes

start

will say can not do want to run next start click yes

restart computer

let error check run its course

reinstall your software

good luck hope it works for ya
