We laughed, we cried we slipped and slided we became a part of it till it logically didn't glide our friendship, took a hit we began to slip with changes in the weather we both became tethered once all has been a voltage charge now comes to a screaming halt storms have now come to calm we find our friendship on a fresh start we feel the distant, between our yearn but we still have lots left to learn so we'll keep the caring, on the friendship pages cause we want it to continue through the ages.

Great Poem!
What I find interesting is that everyone is agreeing how special and valuable friendship is. However the title of the poem is Friendship VS. Love. Which brings up all kinds of interesting issues. Particularly in the dating world between men and women. We all ultimately want to meet the great love of our lives. But the fact is that the majority of relationships don't end up being the love of your life. Unfortunately because of expectations and the hurt that accompanies some break ups - a relationship that should have been a wonderful friendship turns cold because they went the rout of relationship Vs. friendship. Its tricky. When you meet someone of the opposite gender, perhaps its worthwhile to think about creating a long lasting friendship versus an intense relationship which burns out, withers and dies. |
