It's been a long time since my first "love", probably more like puppy love, but i remember it, i cried, and i guess over time i just moved on and figured out there are other fish in the sea, that's the common theme, more fish in the sea lol.

you can never ever really get over your first love. you just kinda move on with time. But they'll always have a piece of your heart.

First love.. means there is at least one other after that..

Well sweetie, unfortunately, I don't believe the advice you've received here is all that good. I was going to email you, making our conversations a bit more private.. however, I don't fit your age range. Anyhow, if you're able to email me, I'd be more than happy to converse this topic with you. I will say, that I myself am divorced from my first love (high school sweetheart) and father of my 2 daughters. I don't drink (so I certainly disagree with that concept of mixing loneliness, alcohol & ignorant young men. I too don't think it's healthy to just search for another (it'll most likely end up being a rebound). You know what it feels like to hurt from adoring someone you know longer have.. there's no need for you to go and do it to someone that may end up adoring you. Everything takes time to heal.. :)

CATEYEZ your post is the only one i agree with. i would explain why but i dont feel like everybody knowing lol. i posted here thinking i would get better advice b/c obviously im young and all my friends dont know what to say.

Yea nothing will help get over a first love. But beer, nachos and ice cream will get your mind of it for a while!>
