I've heard and read a lot of theories on the whole fossil thing and evolution. Evolution seems to make more sense, although I admit there are holes in it.
Did God just put all this evidence here to confuse us? If so, why would he do that in knowing that many of us would stray away from him if he does indeed exist? |

Maybe he would plant evidence of other theories to week out the semi-believers? Or he just got bored? Or the government is hiding part of the evidence of evolution to cover up some bigger conspiracy or is using parts of the 'missing link' to create a super soldier?

if you do some research on it, there is sufficient evidence to support a theory that the flood mentioned in the old testament created physical and geologic conditions sufficient to create fossils and the various changes necessary to substantiate the oddities of carbon dating that produce the expansive numbers that appear to support this earth being billions of years old when the reality is otherwise. There are defects in carbon dating that do not take these factors into consideration. Further than that, I cannot explain. It has been too long since I have read the materials and my degree is not in this field so discussing it further is really something I can't contribute sufficiently. I wish I could remember the authors.

That has hardly anything to do with it. Serve him with your good deeds towards your fellow men. Going to church on Sunday does nothing for you if you're a douche bag every other day of the week.

thier is plenty of evidence in the scriptures that the eath is more than 6000 years. at that point it had been made uninhabital and that is when a recreation took place but this time Yahweh breathed the spirit of man into him.that is where our reasoning/thinking above the animals came..science is right about the earth ade as much as they can determine. Fossils take millions of years to form, right? Nope. Fossils form extremely quickly, within a matter of days or weeks. Otherwise, you wouldn't have fossilized impressions of soft tissue. It's because some Christians have accepted lies (fossils take millions of years to form!) that they resorted to stupid claims like "The fossils were put there by satan!". Geologic layers supposedly take millions of years to form, but the eruption of Mt St Helens created dozens of seperate layers and several canyons...one 700' deep through solid rock. Imagine a flood, a huge flood...a world wide flood. One would get a fossil record that looked exactly like the one we have. Aquatic fossils first, followed by creatures greater on the food chain, with the most intelligent creatures fossilized last (they avoided being killed by the flood the longest). Think about the so-called Cambrian explosion. We have fossilized sponges and very simple animals and then suddenly fossilized members of every phyla. No slow transition, just a huge freaking explosion of life. Fossils and the geologic layers are a perfect example of how Christians are taking the objective information we have and applying new subjective ideas to explain the information. We aren't denying the fossils, far from it, we embrace the fossil record as more clearly supporting creation than evolution. |

NKJV Now looking at all this do you think Yahweh is only 6 days old? He also says I am Yahweh I change not.............. Yahweh is limitless. The Earth is where he chose as his footstool.. Unless we believe Yahweh is 6 days old by his time. and before this he had some place else as his footstool. This is what I have been trying to say forever on here. You have been taught tradition not scripture. You will even when reading something and it goes against what you have been taught decide you just must not understand. Religion brainwashes people to not think. When you brainwash people you teach them cues or phrases. This is what is done from childhood and your mind can not break away from it. Do you really think God rests his feet on earth? What you are saying is that the earth is as old as God, which isn't true at all. God created the earth without form in Genesis 1:1. There is absolutely no scriptural support for the pre-earth theory. You really need to rethink this. |
