You got to give him credit for his youthful idealism though.

I know.. Idealism is perhaps a very optimistic term. 'Delusions of grandeur' might be more fitting.
I was once like that... at age 15 or so... When I moved out of my Mommy's house.

By the time I was 23, I was earning a disgusting amount of money..working for a firm, not too far from you. With offices in Downey and Huntington Beach. So much so...that I could afford to keep a home up here on 6 acres, on my favorite white water river..and drive a different vehicle every other day. While renting an apartment down there if I needed to. I also took 4 months a year off.

So? It was just money. Just things.

You are overly proud of a job that probably brings in 18.00 to 25.00 an hour. In a place that rent for a two bedroom apartment is 1,500 per month on the cheap! 48,000 a year? Is well below the average there.

No matter. I hope you survive your youth. From how you carry yourself here? It doesn't look good....

Nobody ever says "I want to be a bill collector when I grow up." I wonder why that is?

1,500 is expensive for rent? I wish 1,500 was expensive for a two bedroom. A ONE bedroom costs around that.

I don't. Refused to. Even though I was offered double my salary to live down there. I spent a significant part of my childhood down there.. I couldn't choose that. I could choose when I was an adult though.
