Keys

Christmas time is coming fast,
Better get those things that last.
Things I speak of can’t be bought,
Can be stolen but so what.

Steal a smile steal a hand,
Steal a glance, steal a man.
Steal my watch, steal my car,
Steal my dog won’t go far.

Christmas time the time for gifts,
Feeling better, throwing fits.
Many on this fine day,
Sleep together in the hay.

Guards that watch throughout the night,
Guard our country and our rights.
Guard our lives, our way of life,
Filled with hope and filled with strife.

Guards of life, guards on call,
Guard our family one and all,
Guards I sing of this fine day,
Have no weapons in this way.

Guards in families one and all,
Guard our souls it’s their call.
Guards I speak of you and me,
Guard so special single keys.

Single keys from the heart,
Locking tight seldom part.
From our hands to another,
From our Father and our Mother.

On the day of Christmas shared,
Christ the savoir his was bared.
Given key unlike the rest,
Given life from the best.

Given to us one and all,
Saving souls was his call.
Given things on this day,
Could you give a key away.

Would you give this key to me,
Set my heart my soul to be.
Would you give a life like this,
Saved the world was his kiss.

Gave his life and heart for me,
For my soul to be set free.
Live among heavens n stars,
Not to purchase fancy cars.

Remember him this fine day,
Joy and loving is the way.
Show the world and you’ll see,
Presents given you and me.

Now this bard has seen the tests,
Given written like the rest.
Written down in books to be,
Books of life all may see.

Written words may fill a soul,
Praise to him is a goal,
