In issuing a very specific, point-by-point denial of the NYT story, McCain specifically denied that he ever talked to Paxson's CEO, Lowell Paxson (or any other Paxson representative) about this matter:

No representative of Paxson or Alcalde and Fay discussed with Senator McCain the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) proceeding. . . . No representative of Paxson or Alcalde and Fay personally asked Senator McCain to send a letter to the FCC regarding this proceeding.

But Newsweek's Mike Isikoff today obtained (or was given) the transcripts of deposition testimony which McCain himself gave under oath several years ago in litigation over the constitutionality of McCain-Feingold. In that testimony, McCain repeatedly and unequivocally stated the opposite of what he said in this week's NYT denial: namely, that he had unquestionably spoken with Paxson himself over the pending FCC matter:

"I was contacted by Mr. Paxson on this issue," McCain said in the Sept. 25, 2002, deposition obtained by NEWSWEEK. "He wanted their approval very bad for purposes of his business. I believe that Mr. Paxson had a legitimate complaint."

While McCain said "I don't recall" if he ever directly spoke to the firm's lobbyist about the issue -- an apparent reference to Iseman, though she is not named -- "I'm sure I spoke to [Paxson]."

It's hard to imagine how there could be a clearer contradiction in McCain's statements than (a) "I'm sure I spoke to [Paxson]" and (b) "No representative of Paxson or Alcalde and Fay discussed with Senator McCain the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) proceeding."

I would suppose the New York Times story Has a lot more to it, and I think it is a way to keep puppets toeing the line. And if a puppet would step out of line then, more of the story may appear. I am convinced that our Congress is totally useless for reasons such as the above, the majority I think are dirty and are compromised, and are of no value to WE THE PEOPLE!!! I think they are sold out to the Zionists and therefore favor Israel above the US< which I would consider as high TREASON!! and good reason to be in prison, and not in any office representing WE THE PEOPLE!!

McCain has denied everything. On the record. If he is telling the truth, he has no problem. But the denial cops will be out in force, and if he lied about anything, he's doomed.

I assume that before you copied/pasted the above that you checked out all of these assertions to determine that they were all true. So, please tell us what sources you used to make sure that what you posted is fact and not fiction. If you are truly interested in seeking the truth about McCain, then you would have done a little investigating on your own and not just cut/poasted derogatory information about him. So, once again, please tell us the sources you used to ascertain that the above is reliable information.

symbelmyne..... You are in Argentina. How would you know the above? Prove what you are saying, and quit getting personal, particularly when you have no basis for what you say. There is nothing wrong with a rum and coke no more than there is nothing wrong with the haf nude pic you have posted.

I am hiding behind a blue box, because I seriously injured myself on January 8th of this year. I am in physical therapy and will be there for many more months. I do not believe in posting a picture that depicts me as being the tall, trim, pretty healthy woman that I was before the accident. When my medical problems are over and I am the woman I was before the accident, then I will post my pictures.

what, you think I really am a mermaid???
find something that represents who you are if you are uncomfortable posting a personal picture. You seem to have more spice to you than a blue box.

symbelmyne..... Don't be silly. I do not think you are a mermaid. I think you are probably a fan of Hans Christian Anderson. I cannot believe this; I am in agreement with you in that I should find something other than a blue box.
