If you were a booking agent and you had 3 tours you were booking at once, and trying to get smaller shows out there and Bands who really were 2nd rate kept canceling, would you allow it?

I just left my band, they wernt writing the type of music I like. I wanted melodious black metal. They stuck to music more along the lines of punk. Yuck!

Isn't it called a contract?
What do you expect from 2nd rate bands anyway? They generally have jobs & do this on the side.
Still wouldn't take the guff though.

Why would I have contracts for bands that Im not exclusive with? I book many different bands pretty much every night. I have a roster with bands that I am contracted with. Smaller bands are used for my openers for my roster bands. THEY are the ones cancelling. Not my Roster guys.

Then put the word out on them. You probably have some pretty good contacts, yes?
Maybe you should try contracting them? It doesn't have to be a huge thing. Just asking for cooperation.
Do you give them enough notice?
