Bonds of life

I can feel the things you do,
I know not why, I think of you.
I have a gift, that’s not wrong,
This gift of mine, creates a bond.

The bond I feel, could be choice,
It is a feeling and not a voice.
This bond I feel, is strong and true,
Because of things, I think like you.

The life I led, before this time,
Was very lonely, yet it was mine.
The longing for, a friend like me,
Will lead my path, to one set free.

The thing I search for, high and low,
To find a love, and watch it grow.
I was not ready, for this today,
To find a friend, so far away.

The ties that bind, are tried and true,
They bind two souls, the eons through.
The time it takes, to find the one,
The key that holds, forgotten sons.

A man whose life has been a mass,
His heart in shards, of broken Glass.
The warmth he feels, when in his mind,
The friend he seeks, is of like kind.

Feeling of warmth, that’s in his heart,
Of hopes and dreams, will never part.
The way of life, and of the pain,
Will surely help, his love to gain.

The strength I have, to offer you,
Is of feelings, strong and true.
The pains I felt throughout today,
The smile you bare, they go away.

The things of life, that I have seen,
If only they, were in a dream.
The strength she has, an aged old soul,
For me to find, her smile my goal.

I wish to hold your hand my dear,
To wash away, these little fears.
They are not real, for I know this,
The warmth you hold, is what I miss.
