Did you know that Yahweh's name which in hebrew they do not have vowels but vowel points. So it is YHWH. Those 4 letters are in the OT more than any word ,name the,thou anything more than 6900 times. Yahweh is telling us something. The translaters I am not sure when. When ever they saw YHWH they substituded LORD. Just open your bible to the OT and see how often you see LORD. The 3rd commandment speaks of his name. It says those who are called by my name. Adopted children in Hebrews. Yahshua means Yahweh is Salvation. He took on his fathers name. Now most of you have said Hallelujah. Say it and see if you here a j sound. Halleluyah means Praise be to Yahweh. EliYah has his name meaning My Elohim is Yahweh. Isaiah.Nemamiah all the prophets you see end in iah should be yah having Yahweh's name in them for a specific porpuse that they were to do.. Do names mean anything and do they make a difference? Blessings...Miles all things even miniscual have huge meaning, but no truth can ever be comprehended by the human mind, and the human mind is always alive if it try to save itself, but if one seek truth because it see it fail at loving unconditonal and grieve for the ones they do not, than all truth can come in an instant, and truth that is all truth will be bitter in the mouth, but sweet in the tummy, but lies will be sweet to the mouth, but make the tummy sore, and bring to despair, but all despair is a gift each has created themself to love the hand of truth that reach into the pit of hell and rescue the dying and doomed and then the doomed see that nothing could ever resist the will of god just as written, and that all god was love and that men do not know love with a mind, and to believe in the defintions the mind give for anything have not any power.....just me |

And one must live up to one's name. A name above all other names must live and not die. And there is a name given which is above all other names. But the name is a singular representation of that which is. That which is and was and shall be is also God. His name is Jesus.

Name means more than the word you yell to call someone to dinner.
In the Bible, "name" could stand for the person as a whole. Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the LORD has said, Among the remnant whom the LORD calls. So all I have to do to be saved is say "Yahweh"? That's a sweet deal. I could be an unrepentant child molesting, theiving, rapist murderer and God will save me if I say "Yahweh"? How easy is that? Who needs all this prayer, church and clean living crap? Nope, sorry folks. Calling on the Lords NAME won't help. But does "call" always mean "call". If a doctor were to call upon a patient, would the doctor just say "Hey John Doe"? When Paul called upon Caesar, was he just saying "How's it going Caesar"? No, he appealed to Caesar and submited to his authority. So if you submit yourself to God, then you will be saved. If you never knew the word "Yahweh", but you had fully submitted yourself to God, you would be saved. To believe that a magic word is needed for salvation is to reduce God's power to that of a doorman who is waiting for the appropriate password. |

Spider you are right for one reason. John 5:43 Yahshua said I have come in my fathers name and you reject me if another comes in his own name him you will recieve. And That has happened. Your Quote from Joel Should Be Everyone who calls upon the name of Yahweh shall be saved.. Yahweh does not say something he does not mean. My thoughts on the matter of names...
Names are given to things as a result of the human need to be able to identify in thought with that thing. All words are names, are they not? Naming something. Names are all man-made... for man's identification needs... Nameless is the way... For a way which can be contained within words is not the true way...

Jesus' name is called "wonderful" in the Old Testament. "Wonderful" means unknowable, in Hebrew (full of wonder...get it?). So, while Jesus does have a real name, a name that perhaps the Father uses to refer to Jesus, we cannot know that name. |

Spider here is a big problem with what you quoted. I understand why you would think that. If you go to the Hebrew it will say for one Yahshalom Yahweh's Peace. Every adjitive given as a name has Yah before it. Just like when yahshua comes back his name will be Yahziccanu.. What does that mean.You do not realize how much corruption went into the English bibles at least. Because high men in high places wanted it to stay that away. Just a king had that put in thier when 28 times it is the word pasha for passover and 1 time Easter. Who won out. Yahweh always when defining himself to the people Yah is in front of the rest of the name. Shalom...Miles
