Anyhow, as I was looking throughout my neighborhood, I saw three different guys that were convicted of rape, 1st degree. I was wondering if you think people like that should have a second chance, living in our neighborhoods?

Me personally, I would rather not have these kind of people living anywhere near me.

yeah ok i met someone off here...we ended up dateing two days later hes arrested..hes a level 3 sex offender and was arrested for not registering....

I always thought of having them neutered like dogs.

I personally would not want them living by me but i guess the justice system thinks its ok!

the problem is that they have to live by SOMEONE- personally I think they should be shipped off to Siberia but that isn't gonna happen.

that would really depend on the circumstances of the conviction wouldn't you say? hate to say a guy that just pissed off his girlfriend and she claimed he raped her wouldn't deserve a second chance for something like that. but if it were aggravated then yeah they should be locked away for life with a tube of ky taped to their back and their hands cuffed to their ankles.....

Theres plenty of ppl who we THINK we know really well...but then BAM!! They do something like rape or whatever and everyone always say " I just never thought that he/she was capable of that"....so even if we all try to be careful bout who we meet...**** happens and thats how it is!

Due to regulations, a registered sex offender can live anywhere, except within a school area (if it is a pedafile), they are supposed to check in yearly to update their information, go to counseling, whatever their agreement is with the court. Unfortunately, unless they re-offend, there is very little the public can really do. Once they are found out, living becomes quite uncomfortable for some and they do move, but most try to keep a low profile.

I know this because I used to work for parole and probation. You learn a lot working for an organization like that.

Personally, I think they all need to be neutered and shipped off to some frozen waste land.
