yes i do. sometimes i dont know why, other times its due to anxiety.

plus ventolin, my asthma inhaler also increases my heart rate. my heart rate is around 110 BPM

I cut out caffeine and mine stopped for the most part. I would check with the doc though just to be sure, they can test your blood to see if you are having trouble with your heart and then if not look for outside influences. For me it was caffeine, I have to drink decaf, watch chocolate, no tea, etc....

ethereal as far as the pill thing i would try an iud for birth control.good for 5 yrs and you don't get the awful side effects.
i would get the heart checked out but it could be a caffeine issue.

thanks, I'm thinking I'll just stop taking all of them... none of them seem to work and I reeeeeeeally don't want anything stuck in my body like an IUD... I'm gonna keep tabs on my caffeine.. I barely ever have any anymore, but I tend to have chocolate often, so I'm thinking that might be the culprit if it is caffeine.

I did when I was preggo...but I have a lot of heart problems on top of everything else.

Water helped, the more I drank the least often I would expeience them.

Avoid artificial sweetners....diet pop, fat free yogurt, flavored water...aspartame makes it WORSE.

About 2 1/2 years ago I felt like crap, I thought I needed more coffee, later I still felt bad, so I hooked myself up to an EKG, fast rate and lots of premature ventricular contractions(PVC's/palpatations) Two days later I thought I was having a real heart problem and wound up in the ER. Their suggestion was to lay off the coffee-I drinks LOTS, and quit smoking. After a while I was almost caffeine free and I was so tired from the PVC's-not enough blood getting to my brain I said fu*k it and started drinking coffee like I did before. I fell better with in the hour. I still have them every now and then but I don't worry about them. Yes I had a stress test to rule out a serious problem and it was fine. Yes they can be disturbing when I have them and I am trying to go to sleep. I still drink lots of coffee and smoke. I am also fairly physically active, aside from my job.

Well I'm thinking it's purely my birth control pills... I didn't take one yesterday to see if my heart would skip when I went to sleep last night and it didn't skip once. Lately it's been doing it every night, so apparently that's what it was. Guess I'll be stopping those!

Little tip for the ladies... if you ever take the pill, don't take Desogen

Well considering I stopped taking them and that night didn't have any palpitations... or the next night... or tonight... and I WAS having them every night, I'm almost positive that's what it was... but yeah, I'm still waiting for test results on my blood panel for thyroid and stuff so I guess I'll see if I need to check anything else.. thanksflowerforyou

Not when I lay down, but when I check out some of the beautiful women on this sites profile it happens. Oh, it also leads to it stopping completely, and having to be just by a de fibulator after the rejection

Could very well be your thyroid , & the hormones in birth control do react with thyroid hormones.
