We are so fortunate that we didn't have then the things we have now. allot of us would'nt be here It's a whole different attitude & circumstance now. It's hard to tell if we as a people have learned anything from that time, the war, riots , police violence on the crowds. Thankfully disease free also.

I would like to say we have learned something from those days, but it does not seem to show up in continuing a war and losing people to countries who seem to show hate and content towards us. Where are the protesters marching in the streets protesting to George W. to stop the killing and bring our young beautiful troops home... send me back to the Age of Aquarius where we were sure we could make a difference.flowerforyou

What good did the protest of the sixties do? I protest every time I get a chance. These last couuple of months I have flown back and forth from Seattle to OKC a lot and every time I see servicepeople I salute them and tell them I am praying for them, BUT, I tlle them that their boss
(GWB) is the biggest JACKASS that ever TRIED to run a country, much less OUR country!!! WHAT WERE
THEY THINKING????????????????????????

I do that too, Greer. Whenever I see one of our soldiers, I try to go up to them and thank them for what they are doing and for their service to our country. A couple of years ago a young cousin of my husband's who was a Marine on his second tour was killed about 2 mos. after arriving in Iraq. There was talk that there were people that wanted to protest the war, outside of the funeral home. THAT is not the place for it.

I sure is not the place. I am so tired of people wanting to blame the soldiers for doing their job,
but they would not have THAT job, had GWB not be such a ego manic!!!

Hello, I'm new to this website and hope
I've found a new home. I am a product
of the 50's and lived the 60's being a
die hard Hippie and very Liberal. A very great time to have lived full of
knowledge that made us who we are. I
Loved it all but gave up drugs way back. Immune to drugs today because of
it. I hold a lot of values from back
then today. I have a 1940 Dodge coupe
that gets better by the month and a
1979 Chrysler Cordoba for a winter car.
They give me a feel of the past. Hope
to stay with you folks until I can at
least find my Little Flower Child!

Hello everyone, I think I just found
a new winter car. A 1972 VW bus that
someone has been restoring! I promised
my '79 Cordoba to my Grandaughter when
she got her licence anyway. Lots of
room and great on gas, really makes
sense today. Well sure hope someone
posts here eventually!
