It took me forever to get through the first book in the series. But I ended up loving the series.

The Stand is probably my favorite.

I loved the Dark Tower series .... Wizard and Glass has to be my fav .

I enjoyed the Talisman very much ...

I have a large collection of his books but loaned many out and never got them back grumble .

Am I the only person that liked Gerald's Game ?

I like all the movies but agree that the books are always MUCH better .

The Dark Tower would make INCREDIBLE movies if they were well made .

I liked the movie Carrie, but would rather read any of the books instead. I'd rather "see" it in my mind. The Dark Tower was definately a great series of novels. bigsmile
How about a Stephen King crossover? You'd have to be a total GEEK, (like me), but Marvel has put out a series of comics based around tha Dark Tower novels. The first eight issue series, The Gunslinger Born wrapped up sometime last year, and the new series, The Long Road Home, kicks off this month. Irregardless of the prized collectibles fact, they've done a fantastic job in the translation, and the artwork is awesome. If this is a developing trend, I like it! Not his newest novel, but I'd recommend it as a King fan!! 'nuff said!

The Talisman #1 on my list. It was co written by Peter Straub (Kings alterego) wierd. Atleast thats what the copy I had stated. That book took me on the journey, every twist and turn. When I finished reading it, I felt almost tired physically like I had come to the end of a long travel myself.

peter straub is not kings alterego,, that would be richard bachman, peter straub has a completely diffrent style all to himself.
