Not really. Some might be a wee bit absent-minded at times, and others might be a wee bit too 'bubbly', but that can be said for a person of ANY hair color.

The whole "dumb blond" thing might have come about during the fifties with such pin-ups as Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield, and Mamie Van Doren, who played that game to the hilt. On the other hand, actresses such as Jane Russell, Bettie Page and other brunettes played a little more heavily on being the 'bad girl sexpot' instead.

the original question. i know the saying goes 'the only dumb questions are the ones unasked..."

but...

every so often somebody comes along and proves conventional wisdom wrong.

Of course.. We aren't looking all that bright either, for contributing to his dumbness.
