Who goes to the gym and what routine do you use? I just got back and I
did 35 minutes on the elliptical and I did my weights. I work my hardest
on the elliptical and my shirt is soaked when done.
My goal is to be consistant this week and at lease get there 4 days, I
did 2 days already starting from Friday so I need 2 more in by fridays
weigh in.
Needs some encouragement here lol

Hang in there Shagna. It's not easy but it does get easier. I've had to
exercise my knees to get into Reserve Force, Reg's won't take me any
more. Hurts less now.

Hmm when I go to the gym I run on the crosstrainer for about 30mins
doing at least 2.5 miles then I move to abs then weights. Though a
friend who is a fitness trainer told me you don't start burning calories
until after 25mins of cardio excersise.

You burn cals buy walking, talking, any form of movement. We gain weight
as we dont burn as many cals as we are taking in, bottom line.
That is why diet and exersize go hand and hand.

Hey Shag, I do yoga--not good for cardio but it sure gets those muscles
tight. Nothing's better for the ole glutimus maximus than squats with a
bar bell with 5 lbs. on each side. Go for twenty or more. If you can't
walk the next day, then back off. Swimming is fun but doesn't do much
for muscle tone. Forget upper body, arms, pecs, tricepts, bicepts.
Woman have no muscle up there (unless you take steriods).
Abs.--crunches!!! Keep your back straight at all times or you'll end up
in a wheelchair. Then go soak in the whirlpool hot tub, dry off and go
to bed.

I hope you're still here. Excercise is not the key. I've been fighting
my weight since I was about 11. My parents bought me a calorie book and
that's when the war began. It takes years to become a person who only
wants one cookie instead of the whole pack. Now,if I never had another
cookie for the rest of my life, I wouldn't give a ****. If I eat more
than one piece of fried chicken, I get sick. I eat a little bit of
everything all through the day, even while I was working. If I'm offered
a bowl of ice cream, I take two bites and that's really all I want. It
takes time, but I did it and without any help except from magazine
articles and books. Boy, you should see my diet book collection!!

Hi Shagna, The only advice I can give is " You go girl". I do
Palaties[misspelled]. They are easier on my body.

Thats great!! I do weight watchers and have done very well on it, I dont
see it as a diet as most diets fail, Weight Watchers teaches you about a
new life style change, I can eat what I want just in moderation. I also
have learned to make sure I get in 6 servings of fruits/veggies and all
my water.
The hard thing that I come across is good recipes as I get bored with
the ones I already have.

Until you can comfortably eat one serving size, stay away from receipes.
Save them for company, and throw away the leftovers. Kids are quite
content eating spagetti-o's and cereal. Gives them all the nutrients
they need, and you won't be tempted to eat that crap! HAHA

Dear Tone, women don't burn calories as fast as men 'cause we don't have
the muscle mass you do. That's a fact! So we have to cut our eating by
at least one half. AMEN

well i love the gym cos its my second homehappy but i normally do 30 minutes on the bike and 30 mintues on the runnning machine, then i do 30 minutes on the weights which i hate doing because my upper body isn't the strongest. then i relax by going into the sauna and steam room.drinker what i like about keeping fit is the fact i feel good after a workout!
