I just got off the phone with a girl from AZ and we had a little discussion over the whole FWB thing. She seems to think that this is a privilege reserved exclusively for exes. I told her that a FWB thing can be with anyone. You didn't have to be exclusive with them at one time.
I promised her I would pose this question to th JSH family though, so here it is. Oh and call her Deb, she loves it when I do....lol. So does a FWB have to be a former lover, or can it simply be anyone? |

A FWB can be anyone...but let's add here that it never really works...someone always end up getting hurt...

It is not reserved for exes. The people I know that did that did not do FWB with exes. I think that usually exes are exes for a reason.

A FWB can be anyone...I have one now. And, its great. No jealousy, no drama, and no one to answer to. He's not an x, and we became friends overnight. He's cool to chill with. But, theres no pressure there. I do my thing and he does his. So, in my opinion, no, a FWB is just that, a friend with benefits. Not an X with benefits. After all, why would you want to have that kind of relationship with your ex? I mean, if the sex was that good, why did you break up in the first place?

I tend marrying 'em, even if they're not good for me. I'm avoiding the whole benefits thing till after I'm hitched next time. I find that sleeping w/someone before I'm married clouds my judgement and I end up marrying someone that ain't so good for me! Lord willing, I'll avoid that this time around.
I got about eight years before I want to get hitched anyway, so I got lotsa time to get my house ready and find someone.
