He didn't have her to do it. It was for extra credit in a Philosophy class. It was not a requirement, and to understand it you would have to understand what a Philosophy classes intended curriculum is about. It is usually an elective to begin with, unless you are a Philosophy major! It may be different in other colleges and curriculum though I dont know of any. (maybe psychology) I dont have time to search them all. My major is Electronic Engineering and it is an elective. As is World Religions! Boy, Imagine if she had taken that one!! Actually electrons flow from negative to positive.

I don't think anyone is asking you to change your beliefs, but you can't in all seriousness expect everyone else to live by them. That is simply not going to happen! When you talk down to people continually, especially to others who don't necessarily believe the same as you do, you have to expect that there will be opposition. Posting subjects like this one where "belief" is the issue and the way it's being presented, it's going to be controversial. Your way isn't the only way. Try to have some understanding.

Mmkay, let's say that a professor offered extra credits to students who admitted the possibility of a God or Gods, that would be equally disappointing. College, like any school in general, is meant to teach people how to think, not what to think. My two cents. You're very right Jonathon! How are you? I disagree with people telling others what to do or how to live their lives. Makes no difference who they are. Be it christians or athiest school teachers. The whole idea, from my perspective anyway, is that the educational system should not be biased towards any particular belief system or against. |

It may be that it's just safer for any person of any nationality other than an American to travel almost anywhere on the globe. Not faulting the US people but they're glorious leaders aren't doing them any favours. Hope you're enjoying yourself!

no woman should have to pay , that is not american ,you are sick It's Kilroy! I wouldn't be at all surprised if stand up comedians read the forums for material. This place is hilarious! I always pay for the first date...and usually the second, third, fourth,etc...but if she's filthy rich and owns a liquor store, what's wrong with going to her place for drinks afterwards?!
